You are so right about Taemin being not in a box. He is an artist in every sense because although he is given something to do he always put his ideas/identity on it. I have heard Kpop for a long time but I have only invested on it when I found out about Taemin. It's a random encounter that has completely changed my life for good. I hope more people would know more about him.

The concert was awesome! The VCR for "just me and you" was in-cre-di-ble! I cried and my mouth stood open the whole time. I would pay to see it again. I will miss him very much T.T

I completely agree with you. He really is something else - and if he was a western artist he'd be all over the world, hailed for his artistry and uniqueness. Also: I don't understand how people can hate on him - I personally think it is impossible to not be in love with Lee Taemin. And yes - it is a forever thing.

Yes, the genre is Taemin and I too feel so incredibly lucky to watch his growth. (I highly recommend walawala's fabulous 3 part series 'The Growth of Lee Taemin' - it's genuinely extraordinary and I wish they would do one for SHINee, too) ETA: he has seen the comments and thanked us all for them.

Really agree with your take on how Taemin transcends boundaries and boxes and that a lot of people are too used to staying within those mainstream boxes to fully appreciate him. I just hope he stays himself and sees how much he means to those of us that love him and his art!

This is me 😭😭. Why? Because I had my ticket, set the calendar and I totally missed his concert!! Yes I’m crying and I’m so upset. I agree with what you said about Prince, Bowie and especially Taemin being also unique and deserving more recognition. I’m 100% with you, he’s the only artist that I love and am addicted to. I never did this with any other artist, ever! and I’m a middle aged woman. I guess I have to wait until the 15th to see Taemin’s concert. 😭

Omg I feel the same thing!! Omg I'm sooooo excited cause this will be my first kpop consert since I got into it(about 2 and a half months ago). My intro was super m one(monster & infinity), but I almost immediately got sucked into the world of Taemin😍😍 I feel so lucky to have found him! His music is just amazing! I don't even care that I have to practically stay up all night lol(it'll be 2am my time).

Love your Taemin reactions. I think a lot of people in the global industry know who he is, especially since Beyond Live and his and kpop's activities despite the pandemic have defied the difficulties of the western industry. But a lot of western listeners arent paying attention because of prejudice. But Im happy to know that he is beyond all of that. He is massively successful despite all of that and 13+ years in the industry he is STILL doing things no one else is, still busting his own limits and aquiring new skills. He's going to drop something dazzling and industry changing with the Advice MV and his mini album, and is going to head off to evolve even further in the next 1.5 years in his enlistment, then come back to shake things up again. His comeback is going to be HUGE.
