I heard somewhere (it might have been on this video, idk), that he only does that cause he gets really nervous, so he just grabs whatever's closest to calm down in a way. And since legs are right there, his hands just levitate.
8bit72HAC most of them do it. either to calm themselves or the receiving party. if you grow up in a society that doesn't see a big "GAY"-sign wherever you dare to touch someone this works quite well to get some reassurance. i wish people would do this more.

Tbh I think it's like a comfort thing, like you know how some people bite their nails or play with their hair when they're shy/nervous so like I think if he touches the other members it comforts him a bit ^^

OK I'm sure using the word naughty was great clickbait but there's nothing perverse with this. I'm a total 2 min shipper and I love their interactions but you don't always have to give it some perverted angle. Taemin has different kinds of relationships with his hyungs, it natural to feel more at ease with someone when you're that nervous. And just because he seems to get comfort from Onew and Minho is a great thing but it doesn't mean he's any less fond of jjong and key, but that he gets a different kind of comfort with them. probably because he relies on minho and onew the most. it's always only minho or onew if they sit next to him, he never does it to jonghyun even though he's always next to him. onew was the most reliable one for him during debut days and he had this period where he wouldn't stop following minho everywhere
From what I noticed in a lot of interviews and variety shows, Tae tends to cling to Onew the most. Minho comes in close second. I guess since Onew is the leader, he has had more personal and deeper moments with each member. Consider it like a 1 on 1 thing. That's why they're all so close. Onew is basically the big brother to all of them, Taemin being the youngest clings to that for security and assurance.
Key isn't really a clingy or touchy person. I think he would with Jonghyun but his legs are always crossed I notice. Minho is extremely clingy and probably loves it.

Taemin gets really tense on tv shows, so his members let him calm down by comfort, so just by touching their legs doesn't mean he is "naughty" he is just nervous. Anything could happen on camera 'ya know.
Plus in the beginning when they were trying out..before they even knew they would both be part of Shinee and were essentially "competitors" still... but instead of practicing by himself, Onew chose to help Taemin practice instead. I can understand why Onew makes him feel secure :) SO precious.
This is absolutely adorable and I don't think it seems dirty or awkward at all. After watching tons of videos of Korean male groups (mostly DBSK) this seems like it's totally normal for them. I have a Korean friend here in the states and I asked her about how it seems Korean friends have more skinship than American friendships and she confirmed my thoughts. It's cute! On another note, why the heck does SM like dressing their talent like hobos and 80's rejects! These boys are too cute for that!
I concur with the others who said it was more like he was reaching out for reassurance. He seemed nervous in each instance. I think many of these groups deliberately sit/place the maknae next to the leader or at least, one of the "ummas" of the group (in this case, Onew or Minho-whom he's always been close to), so that they can help them out. I've watched several of Exo's vids and I've noticed that Tao (more so than Sehun) seems to always be close to Kris or Suho.

I believe he does it when he feels uncomfortable or embarrassed or something like that. I totally agree with others when they say he's looking for reassurance because he doesn't look right in any one of those situations, so I think it's a comfort thing which honestly makes it so much more adorable and cuter that he does it ^.^ he so cute
It is a nervous habit! Most of the time I don't notice that I'm rubbing my hands or fingers on something (unless it's a person and they go "wtf") when I'm in an uncomfortable situation or I feel very stressed.
Well I'd do the same if I got within reach of any of the SHINee boys. I love how he just slides him hands on the other members legs and I'm just thinking, "Subtly done, Taemin".
I think what i really love about Taemin is you can read his face/ expressions like a book...the others seem to remember their face and reactions when in front of a crowd....Taeminnie wears his heart on his sleeve and you can always tell what he is feeling.

It's just bromance everybody, we all know that's pretty strong in Korea. Males trust each other a lot, hence why they call each other 'hyung' which means older brother (the younger turning to speak to the older). :)

I definitely agree with you, he seems to only do it when he is nervous and you can tell because, if you watch his other hand he kinda lets go of the mic and grips it again, its kinda like what i do when im nervous i will make a fist in my lap or like reach over to the person im with just to make me feel like im not alone

Ah, I think it's cute :3 - My girlfriends and me (I'm also a girl, lol) do this too. Mostly for comfort in awkward situations, but also just to tease each other .. but now they don't even notice anymore, so it's no fun .. so yes, mostly for comfort, haha ^^'

He is just a touchy-feely-kind of person. I am the exact same way. I am always touching someone's arm or shoulder when I speak to them. It's just our nature to be like that...it doesn't mean anything sexual.
I do the same thing when I'm the centre of attention... either moving closer to one of my friends, or absently touching their arm or knee... It's just an act of reassurance, to calm me down and relax.
and i think onew and minho was used to taemin's hand...they act normal just like this is what their maknae always do to them be it with or without camera...i totally happy thinking like that :)
