This collab comes in full circle. Taeyang watched the 13 y.o. Lisa at her YG (BP's agency which Taeyang and Bigbang helped built) audition and told the CEO that she was going to be a great singer. Then made her a backup dancer in his Ringa Linga m/v before BP debuted. Taeyang has come back hard, being gone for 6 yrs., but he just picked it up where he left off. The choreo for this song was done by a 19 yr. Korean-American celebrity dancer who also did Vibe.
Taeyang is 2nd gen kpop and Lisa was a trainee when Taeyang and his group BigBang were topping the charts. BigBang was leading the way for kpop going international beyond Asia. Taeyang is Lisa's senior, and was there at LISA's audition where she sang JB "baby", he instantly knew that young LISA was going to be a huge star! And tell papa YG that’s she need to do solo. They inspired many of the 3rd Gen idols which is why he can freely collaborate with anyone and companies are glad to have him at their buildings to dance with their idols
dunno if u guys realised but the backup dancers r actually some of the best dancers in korea. A worldwide famous dancecrew called JustJerk whos been on agt as well as YGX an extremely talented and well known dance group in korea. Actually the first two backup dancers that appeared are identical twins that have been dancing with yg entertainment since basically the beginning
I am obsessed! Soo much chemistry. This song fits Lisa so well. It has the cool and sexy vibe of RnB and hiphop. The choreo and lyrics are very creative with the analogy of sexual innuendos and cars. Bailik Sok did an amazing job with the choreo! Michael Jackson influenced with the moonwalk when driving the stick shift. Very creative. The outfits are pretty cool as well. The styling goes really well with the song. Taeyang chose Lisa well for this song. Lisa luvs her fast cars especially Lambos. She definitely needed to be in another verse in the end. Taeyang is a legend. Taeyang is a KING (member of the KINGS of Kpop group, BIGBANG). Reason why he can collab with anyone he likes - even the members of the biggest KPOP groups in the world right now. I know this is random but I just watched Baeksang Awards 2023 and Park Eun Bin, the actress who played Woo Young Woo won. And her speech is heartwarming. I'm so proud of her. He's definitely influenced by Usher and other R&B/Hiphop musicians when he was a trainee, then he debuted as 2nd generation Kpop idol and influence/inspired the next generation idols in terms of swag, dance and vocal style. Taeyangs from Bigbang, they inspired both blackpink and bts heavily. They were both extremely honoured to be on their songs. Honestly Shoong is not my favourite though, I wouldnt a bit more of a strong beat.
