@@Birky_41 1st time Doni got a 1:54... back there for TAF day 2020 hoping to improve. Noticed you drop down to 2nd gear... I pretty much stay in 3rd/4th all the way round
I'll see you there as I'm booked for TAF too. I think the gear you run vs me is fine. I'm used to 2 strokes and tend to be a bit keen on revs. The Tuono torque would pull the lower gear fine. I'm hoping to get 1.39s
Wow great to meet you mate your miles faster than me lol I've uploaded abit of mine on RU-vid but you'll probably watch it thinking why so slow lol.. I've got a few excuses ready like road tyres and brake pads have done 6000 miles n 2 track days so was getting fade but even so your rapid! Shame about the red flag hope you found the lap timer useful for future trackdays
It was great to meet you, the heat had me struggling a bit if you hadn't noticed. Really knocked it out of me. The angle part of the lap timer was great. Just a shame it doesn't have GPS to make it accurate
Epic stuff man! Looking at doing some track days on my 19 factory tuono next year. Just wondered if you made any track specific mods or upgraded the brakes for example?
No it was completely stock. Just put the TC low, ABS 1 and suspension in track. The front did fade a bit and it killed the oem pads after the day. I'd recommend some more dedicated ones you if you do a lot of track
@@marcusrobertson7184 if you plan to do several track days, I’d upgrade to a RCS17 Master, and SRJL-XX Vesrah Pads (Best in my opinion), after 1-2 seasons, your rotors WILL warp, I’d also upgrade those as there known for it
would love to try a tuono factory to see if theres any difference than my sp when you have proper rubber on them. i have the same problem as you scrapping the pegs . but suppose they wouldnt be so comfortable on road if they put them higher. hate to see riders hurt not good.
Yep it's a compromise, I don't typically use my Tuono really hard on track so prefer the slightly more relaxed position vs the GSXR which I use mainly track. The Tuono has its limitations but it was literally straight from riding on the road a day before - I didn't even tape the lights or plates haha it did well
I need this in my life!! my only worry is the noise restrictions on UK circuits. If you have a min what's your experience with this on this bike specifically?
That's just the akrapovic end can. The headers are standard. Fitted with the race map it rides smooth and crisp on the throttle. Noise passes sub 102db which is basically what most UK are. I think it was 100.7 at doni so they said
