Amazing video. I had to climb on my patio today to replace some old rusty screws that were leaking and I was scared to death and it wasn't even that high compared to this roof. Biggest issue for me was transitioning on and off the ladder that's when I felt most uncomfortable. Wish I saw this video beforehand! This would completely eliminate ladder anxiety

Thanks for comment. Taking the time to set things up safely usually results in a better job and sometimes even a faster job. Once you feel safe & secure you can better focus on the task at hand.

You could've used a drone to carry the rope..

Ate you ever worried about windows or anything? How much does all that cost? The leather stays on the ridge as you pull the rope through it to anchor it to the tree? And why do you have to anchor to the truck? Shouldnt anchored to the tree be good enough? Unless your working sideways towards the rakes. Would it work to put the leather in the middle of the roof and messure the distance to the rake and make that your amount of slack so you can't fall off the side of rake?

Hi, what sort of tennis ball sling shot do you use. If you can suggest to buy would be great.

So the slingshot in that video has been hard to find lately, possibly discontinued. I would recommend this rooftopsafetyusa.com/products/big-shot-launcher and it works much better than the handheld slingshot anyway.

The lifeline was anchored to a tree in the backyard

@@buddybell1546 usually with a piece of webbing or cargo strap, a carabiner, and a Figure 8 on a Bight in the end of the lifeline. I need to do a video on anchoring.
