17:08 is why I HATE reffing basketball. The average viewer or even player has no clue how many times per game that happens to the refs where what happened was either too close or too fast to definitively call and they are left to make something up that people are going to freak out about either way. Rarely is it cut and dry and they deserve more respect. Really love the way the ref handled it tho super great situational awareness to know all of this and change his signaling to communicate it almost in a way that mocks how they are going to react
