Back in the 80's we went up there in the late summer with our 2 daughters. Not nearly the trails or do not go beyond's that there is now. We went to the upper falls & walk back in about 100 yards or so & walked out into the river. It was about a foot or so deep. There was a rock in the middle that I walked the girls out to & stood them on the rock for a special picture that mom was taking. The river was pushing a little, but was not raging or swift. It was a neat experience. The girls still talk about that now. Thanks for the winter pics!
We just did the upper and lower falls yesterday. Totally agree with you that the lower falls hike is earned. I was worth it with the photos and video we took.
Going back up there next week. Eager to go across the new brideg to get some shots from that side and also use my new drone for the first time up there, Should look great still with snow. Nice video
I love their pasties at the Brewery and a beer is always nice. I didn't get a chance to get to the island this past weekend because were running out of time. I need to go back when there is more snow
Go on the other side and go under the falls,, there is a trail that takes you to a spot and you walk back and down some stairs and along the edge and can walk under the falls!
You did an amazing job on this video. I have experienced all seasons there but winter. Can’t wait to give it a go. Thank you for sharing this amazing video presentation 👏
Things are marked pretty well at the lower falls. There are permanent sign maps. The biggest part with the lower falls to know is that it is a further hike to get to that area in winter
