All reacted like this to earn revenge and popularity - Kai = betrayed by his best friend, Tai Lung = told to be the next dragon warrior but was removed from the title and got locked up, Lord Shen = Just wanted to make his parents proud. Death the only one that had to do his job as DEATH
@@saqrkwtno dumbass, you are currently talking about that one annoying character that does horrible things either no reason or cause of greed. A good Villan is actually someone you like.
Tai Lungs definitely gets motivation. He was told all his life that he was the Dragon Warrior just for him to get locked up and see someone else get it.
@@kanchansrivastava7912fr bro was trapped in a cell for 20 years with who knows how much weight on him and he broke out of the cell like it was nothing
Ye. People are always trying to say "My favorite character could beat yours" when it shouldn't boil down to who wins in a fight. Could Doom Slayer wipe out Ezio without any form of difficulty? Yes, however if we compare them as a character Ezio has more personality. That's not hating on Doom Slayer, due to his story he doesn't really need too much characterization. If anything it would ruin his character. He's a being of pure rage with one goal, cause as much suffering to those who took everything from him as he can. If he had Ezio's charisma, it wouldn't work. You can have good bland characters and good complex characters, personally I prefer more complicated characters.
my fav always Death he was the only villian i ever really thought was some what scary not very scary but somewhat scary the idea of death hunting you to well o0f you kinda is a scary concept
Everyone thinks Shen is the best because he broke po mentally, others hurt him physically. So in conclusion mental attacks are more deadly then physical ones
Nah man even kai injured po when po tried to fight him alone in the panda village lord shen just scratched and hit him a little not that much but kai injured him hard so did tai lung he also hit po a lot and injured him way more and death is also very powerful but kai and death in my opinion r the strongest and lord shen for me is the weakest like literally kai and tai lung had injured and hurt him way more then lord shen so In my opinion kai and death r the strongest
@@Ahmed-k6k3uSerious? Tai lung couldn't even scratch Po, Kai is just arrogant and greedy who wants all the power for himself, now Shen just wants to find happiness even if he has to kill hundreds of innocent people, Shen's ambition easily surpasses Tai and Kai's
@@HiagoE didn't u see the movie literally kai threw po all the way to the panda village he was hit hard and then with tai lung he kicked him all the way down but po still fought on also shen is very weak she barely hit him
Shen and tai lung were the best written Kung fu panda villains for sure, death is just the best iteration of a villain with no vendetta, only there to collect what he’s due
There was definitely vendetta with death. And it was unwarranted. He doesn’t have the right to do what he did to puss at all. He literally went out of his way to kill puss solely because he hated how arrogant puss was and didn’t value his life. Instead of waiting till puss is time came naturally, he deliberately went of his way to hunt and psychologically torture puss operating out of his jurisdiction. And was relishing in the hunt. Him indirectly helping him appreciate life wasn’t his intention and it was pretty obvious. He only stopped the hunt because the puss who stood up to him wasn’t the same puss in the beginning of the movie so the fun was over. He literally says in Spanish verbatim “ Why the hell did I go play with my food?!) You're ruining this for me!” Does that sound like someone who was just doing their job? Like one of the other lives literally said death was cheating and death told him hush. So death qualifies as a villain and he was a great villan. But let’s not pretend he was just doing his job cause the movie tells us otherwise.
Also, I have another opinion on Kai, his introduction what’s the coldest thing ever We didn’t know it at the time, but all we knew was that some person was challenging, the strongest person in the verse at the time And come on I have to talk about his theme again. Especially when he pulled up on the furious five. That was my favorite part of the movie. I still have the DVD because it was such a W movie, even though it does not work.
@@theophileirac4162 Parallels go to Kai as he is the best dark reflection of Po, being who Po would have become had he not learned responsibility in the first film, not let go of the past in the second and not reconcile with family in the third.
The hidden secret about Shen, which people do not know well, is that when he was young, he was comparable to that of Master oogway, according to the Kung Fu Panda 2 art book, and the reason why his fighting ability was not highlighted in this work was because he was old. At Comic Con, the director said that if Shen were only five years younger, he would have killed Po's group by hand. Therefore, at least Kai>shen=chameleon>Tai Lung is right.
Yeah but chameleon base would get one tapped she basically should even get any powers because she just spawn trapped them in the movie 💀 so the correct ranking as of right now Kai because he has been fighting masters in the spirit realm including tai lung for 500 years>tai lung who escaped from prison literally with literally about 100 guards after almost 20 years of no fighting = lord shen > chameleon
Its funny. Almost every single time the villain is not that strong, the villain is well writen. Shen is by far the greatest kung fu panda villain and in my opinion, The best Dreamworks villain of all time
Average "I can solo everyone, I have incredible feats, I can destroy universes by looking at them" Fan vs Average "I may be a fodder but I traumatized the protagonist" Enjoyer
Obviously, they need to be weak otherwise special Ed victims like you can't relate with this so called well written character, see no poor people likes to see rich people happy.
@@Star_on_top859 that's the dumbest take I've heard in a while, that's like saying shen went on a temper tantrum because he was born with a weaker body than his peers.
I dunno.. death is better to me, but just barely. The fact that the movie treats him extremely seriously gives him an aura that Shen lacks, but he makes up that with his depth.
Kai is hella underrated, his introduction was golden, he raised the stakes so high and introduced a sense of dread and fear I've never felt before in any other animated movie, but dreamworks did him dirty by basically shitting on him in the 3rd act.
I LOVED Lord Shen as a villain. His drive his motives, his writing and him also killing po's parents is very fitting. He is a very underrated character that others probably shrugg off.
Shen's writing "Feats": Introduction---------------------------------------------------- Captivates the audience with a 2d animation at the start, providing an excellent introduction Gave Shen a reason for his evil-ness, something that many badly writtain villains don't have Introduced Shen as a capable villain, quickly taking the throne back Humor----------------------------------------------------------------- A reoccuring joke where the Soothsayer thinks Shen's clothes are a tasty snack "WHAAAAAT??" Quotes---------------------------------------------------------------- His quotes are very powerful and meaningful Every time he talks is a quote, basically. Depth-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Provides intense development, making it clear that Shen realizes that Po might be able to kill him Sets the Soothsayer free instead of killing her, because Shen realized that if he did this Po might have a chance to let go of his past and have a better ending than himself Emotion--------------------------------------------------------------------- Goes through the 5 stages of acceptance( denial: massacred the pandas for a prophecy about his pride anger: held the grudge of his parents leaving him for 30 years bargaining: kind of? took the throne back depression: his quote-trading with soothsayer and the 5 seconds where he looks away in shock and grief acceptance: his death.)
Yes, Vader is an iconic villain, he is an icon of villainy, just like Superman is a superhero. But does Superman's iconicity make him a better superhero? No. As in this case, you can't say that Vader is better simply because he's an iconic villain.@@Lord_Imperion55
Don't wanna add more to the pile but design defenitely goes to Shen, I mean he's a peacock. On top of that those spots on him are what triggered Po's PTSD about his past. And unlike how irl peacocks are hindered by there massive feather trains, Shen uses his to his advantage when fighting.

Death becomes so much better when you realise he's the main villain of puss showing how many lives puss threw away (I don't completely remember the movie)
@@DinosaursAreGoatsbro, Shen has motivation even if i felt like all of them have it, Shen is the most one has human-like feelings and also behaviours, he has more feelings than the 3 villains, he has still kindness left for the Soothsayer even if he pretends to be intimidating, he lets the Soothsayer follow him, at last he released her, so thats how he got that, he has more quotes and feelings to every tone, so i dont need. To say he is not an Shen-fankid, he is spitting fax, (i dont want argue if you want, i wont mind.)
True enough, but I think there is more that sets him apart from his death. He mentally screwed with Po as if it were his career, and I find it is much harder to find inner peace than it is to just become strong.
Guys, so you know how they said shen would be defeated by a warrior of black and white. I have a theory that shen was meant to defeat himself because shen does have black and white on him
Would've gotten clapped in an instant and also wouldn't work as he is mainly a mental obstacle, Po isn't that egotistical and Shen already was his obstacle.
Tai Lung is an understandable character because of what he endured only to be casted out. Shen's backstory goes more into detail why he got casted out. He built weapons that were a good use to defend China. His parents thought otherwise and later banished him from China. Shen tried to change his destiny and attacked all pandas in order to change his destiny. and as the movie goes on we see him in a bad mood when he mentions that his parents hated him. Shen takes these categories. Tai Lung's backstory starts with him being an orphan and being cared for while he was trained he was told he'd be the dragon warrior but when he was told otherwise he took out his anger out on the village and forcefully tried to take the dragon scroll.
@@DVDTAPEAFKs Nice, according to his logic, if my parents reject me, I will go commit genocide to prove that my weapon is good, cool. Tai Lung is a much better written character than Shen.
@@Moldovan_Patriot He didn't commit Genocide on pandas to prove his point on weapons being a good defense for China. when he was younger, he tried to change his fate by getting rid of Pandas after he overheard him being defeated/killed. as if Tai Lung has any reason on throwing a tantrum over a blank piece of paper. tell me how Tai Lung is a way better character what's his backstory? what's his motivation? Emotion Writing etc.
I would honestly put tai lung more for the intro. Nothing against Death, he had a fantastic start, but there was just something about the way the whole first 30 minutes built up tai lung as if he was the grim reaper. No dialogue or even movement needed, but you felt how threatening he was just on sheer aura. Shen I would still put better overall, but I would honestly consider him an equal to death as a villain.
@ihavealifeok He's a much better character than Kai and Death. It's just that they seem more "cool" and "menacing" which usually wins the audience everytime.
Even though the edit is old. Tai lung takes introduction easily. Bro was introduced so well everyone was talking about him how much a meance he is and is now in jail for 20 years. His backstory is very good too but shen takes it tbh. Shen is obviously the most underrated villan in kfp and no one is really talking about him. He maybe isn't the strongest but definitely the smartest and really acts like a villan.
Because Tai Lung’s big quote is an overused meme and so loses a lot of its power by being so popular. Shen’s quotes by comparison were much more impactful throughout the entirety of his film. Even Death has Tai Lung beat in this manner.
