Really good Unboxing. Don't really get why people dislike it so much. I had fun watching and I don't even own a switch and I mean he literally showed everything. He even showed stuff that nobody would look at. Yo and since when are people that interested in Taiko, I only play it on Osu but might give it a shot at a friend's house when the opportunity comes around. Really putting a story out here huh
It's good for easy songs but anything past 4 stars and the drum absolutely needs to be modded. There some notes that it didn't even pick up on the 6 star one even though we can see them hit. It's really just dependent on how you play I guess. I know I'd get frustrated after a while
Me! Day one buy. And if Sega wants to make another Vocaloid game on a dedicated portable console then the Switch or the 3DS/2DS are their only legitimate options.
@@MrMoron-qn5rx - The drum has 4 separate sensors, each of them is a trigger/bumper. The only input that can't be done with this controller is the analog sticks.
melanie I play with a controller. It’s kinda hard with only buttons becuase I’m not as quick with my thumbs. I’m not the best at Taiko, but I sill like it. It’s kinda hard for me, but maybe not hard for others, depending on controller and drum.
@One vibing cactus juice boi and his pet, lord momo Fair enough. I guess flappy bird counts. My point is that Taiko isn’t as hard as you think if you work your way up. And I used to suck st rhythm games
OMG! This is my favourite game in the arcade but they no longer had this. I want this, lucky I’m getting Nintendo Switch for just dance cause my mum want me to lose weight. But I love myself a rythem game.
You know they still have the arcade games in Japan. I think at Taito Game Station at Ameyoko Market, you get 2 plays for like 100/200 yen and 3 or 4 plays for 300 yen.
*looks at his unboxing the package* *sees the Japanese pokemon sun and moon theme (alola) listed* Me: the only reason I need. this. game. Edit: luckily I have the Nintendo switch, it’s region free, and it’ll be my birthday soon so I might be able to ask for this since it will probably be sold on eBay or amazon lol Edit: never mind I heard apparently it (might) have the pop team epic theme song and Kimi ni 100 percent (AKA the crayon chin Chan theme song) which mean for me that’s now three reasons to get the game :3
i’ve noticed that, with a lot of new western releases of games nowadays, all they change is the translation, and that’s it. Hell… The persona series, is proof of this. Hell… PERSONA5 is proof of this, because that’s the one I know the most. Lol. They still make Japanese references, but the dialogue is fully spoken and translated into English. so I’m not surprised that a newer Japanese rhythm game localized in the West still keeps their song selection, but translates the dialogue into English. Because unlike back then, a lot more people are into Japanese stuff. It’s more popular now, then it was back in the early days. yeah they obviously had some anime and stuff here in the West, but most of the time, not many people watched it unless they were super super dedicated to Japanese stuff already. so yeah… To prove your comment even more correct, in the release of dance dance revolution here, most of the songs are songs that are in the west. Hell… They had David Bowie on it. And Funkytown. i’m sure the newer ones have actual more Japanese tracks on it and English tracks of course. So yeah… TLDR: I’m not surprised in the least that this game is going hard on Japanese tracks.
This game was on sale last week and I was so excited i caved in and bought it, only to realize that none of the local game stores carry the taiko drum peripherals. ugh...
Why did Bandai Namco make it so expensive and exclusive. Even without the drums it costs more than most Triple A games here. I'm in Australia and guess the few stores I found it in had to import it. I tried the demo with the joycons but it wasn't very responsive. Just don't want to pay $120 for a rhythm game :
P.I Pross (Hopefully) you’ve already got one, but they’re at all major retailers. Walmart, Target, etc. This is probably a joke comment, but we gotta spread Switch love!
P.I Pross most places that have video games of most sorts will have them for sure... if you can wait just get it on Amazon. Welp hopefully you have one already.
So close to buying one, would get the bundle with Mario kart 8, then buy myself street fighter collection, super smash bros, Snk anniversary and the valkyria chronicles, sound like good buy? Just wondering if this kinda thing is really worth the £400 considering I don't game often these days.
P.I Pross welp you should definitely pick up BotW if you haven’t on the Wii U, it’s the perfect game to play well you’re on break or in a car or any form of transport. There’s also MARIO Odyssey if you’re into those types of games. Only get mk8 if you have friends to often play with as that’ll make the experience with it way better. If you’re into rpgs like Final Fantasy or Earthbound, then definitely pick up Octopath traveler. Pokémon is also a great choice, it gets hated on way too much just because it has the Pokémon go catching mechanic, if you can get past that and like Pokémon then maybe pick it up. Welp that’s my tangent, just do what ever you feel is right for you :)
9:25 I can’t believe that they are actually selling this drum for years now. It is well documented, that those drums are not as sensitive as they should and could be. Here you clearly see a non registered hit. This really bottlenecks the fun you could have had playing on hard or oni.
Oh wow... those misses that were clearly not misses. The talks about needing to hit the drum hard is true. I mean sure thicker rubber means less damage to the sensors, but if ur forcing players to hit the drum harder, then obviously thats gonna damage the sensors way more than a thin layer of rubber where light taps won't matter much as they count.
So, I have just heard about this game and am still learning about it, and I gotta say having no context besides knowing pewdiepie plays it has been extremely fun so far, because this is so confusing ass stuff to an outsider
ooh I love the song choice you did of "Hyakka Ryoran" I love playing it on hard mode though. Plus I was lucky enough to buy the digital copy for only 20 usd in the Nintendo shop for 50% off. But man I really want one of these drums to play easier. So far I love the unboxing my dude!
I always enjoy playing this game on my Switch, but I usually play the Hard course and use button controls, seeing as I use the Switch in handheld mode most of the time.
Ive always wanted to own one but I only have a low amount of money. I did get a switch and the way he unboxes it would help me in the future if I owned one. Thanks for the video!
This seems way better than the ps4 version. The drum won't even sense the drum hits. Sigh, I wish I waited for the Nintendo version. 😔 The one for the Switch seems way better
5:42 *Flashbacks to that one japanese Dear Doppelganger Kirby Parody that was stuck in their head* •u•; 6:03 Godamnit Bad Apple is in this... Me and my addiction to niconico ^o^;
i feel like nintendo need to update some of their stuff like the stick need to have a wrist strap so people wont accidently *flew* it away, then what the drum made of? plastic? i dont think it will last long if you are taiko addicted.
@@artynoox cause you dont drum on an asian drum set like the one they remade for this game... its a whole different instrument and has nothing to do with the drums you play
I’m not sure about this, it looks good but the drum kinda makes me feel like it’s just a piece of not very good plastic and not worth the price. Other than that, it looks pretty cool
