Heya, yeah it’s amazing, super light action and it plays great. Also the build quality is pretty insane with metal and wooden parts. Unfortunately the Taiko cabs in the Arcades Club(s) have been ruined from them installing huge/heavy plastic rolling pins instead of the usual light sticks they should’ve used, the dumb sensors are absolutely screwed and the rubber full of holes :/ It’s a real shame.
@@exmosquito I'm so tempted to buy one because of the same reasons. Kids just can't stop ruining the drum to the point that it's impossible to full combo even the easiest tracks. So now I'm thinking of getting my own equipment and have fun at home
That controller looks incredible! I was aware of dj dao type stuff for Beatmania and Sound Voltex, but didn't realize there are arcade sized taiko controllers out there.
Heya mate how’s it going. Heh the size is pretty ridiculous isn’t it, if you want arcade accuracy I guess there is no way around it :) It’s a new product they started doing this year and recently got them back in stock. It’s a little loud but I’ve been playing it for a good week and the neighbours haven’t complained about the noise so I think I’m safe. It’s funny, in the early 2000’s when I was regularly playing Street Fighter online in the evenings using an arcade stick, my Mother used to complain about how loud the buttons were. Her head would explode if I still lived at home playing on this thing! :)
Great video! I'm thinking of buying this but I moved to a flat a few months ago and I'm hesitating because of how loud it could be. I currently have a switch tatacon and it's loud as hell, can't play at all without bothering the neighbors. From what I hear in this video the Taikoller seems to be actually quieter, or at least more pleasant to hear than the switch tatacon (really, the plastic hitting plastic of the tatacon is horribly loud, I'm sure you know). How do you feel they sound compared to each other?
Heya mate. I live in a UK terraced house so I have 2 joining neighbours either side of me so the noise was an issue for me too. Id say the Taikoller is definitely quieter and dense sounding and less likely to cause a sound annoyance. It’s a bit ridiculous how hollow and noisy the Tatacon is isn’t it.. :)
Yeah it is kinda. The skill ceiling is a lot higher on Taiko, it gets insane at the higher levels. Heh yeah they have to shoe-horn in cute characters for the girls and kids :)
Il est sympa ce jeu! Il m’arrive d’y jouer sur mon iPhone, mais disponible uniquement avec un abonnement mensuel… (en France, c’est peut être différent en Angleterre…)
Heya. I asked the Taiko Reddit page with a RU-vid link to a video that uses it and a guy gave me a link. I’ve just had a look at my reply history and unfortunately I can’t find the Google drive link. Try asking on there, failing that I could maybe upload it on a storage website somehow. It only works on and older version of OpenTaiko I remember the guy saying as well.
Heya. I got them off a Reddit thread, I can’t seem to find it now. I seem to remember you need a specific version of OpenTaiko for the skin to work. There’s a Google drive account with every song, also off the Taiko Reddit.
@@exmosquito sounds worth it to me. I do play all my taiko games on Switch. And I have the ps4 version too. I wish it worked on the Wii U as well since I have all of the wii and wii u titles also. I might just pull the trigger amd buy it.
