I have installed a UK made kit that allows you to lock your tailgate using the original alarm and the fob. This is a detailed video tutorial on how to do it. Hope this will help someone.

I have a question - can you still use your car key to physically lock the tailgate even if you have successfully installed the tailgate central locking? For my situation, I can use the remote key to lock all car doors including the tailgate but i cannot use my car key to lock the tailgate (although i can use my car key to lock the driverside door).
Oh you're brave, not sure I'd be happy to fuck with my wiring loom. Awesome that it works - all new cars should have remote unlocking and lift gates, madness they don't. That's a very cool truck, if I wasn't balls deep into EV I would definitely get one in the stable.
Hi mate! thank you for the comment. I do work with wires and electronics a lot when building electric skateboards, i did build custom bike as well... splicing into the harness was easy and no trouble. Video is very detailed and if followed 100% - should be safe.

Hi mate. Ok so the lights are connected to the cable that used to go to the light when original bar was installed ...you know the one that you can turn on and off in the cab? So i have connected my new lights to them cables, left the switch on and if i open the back with the key - light turns on but it does turn off automatically in a few minutes so quite a nice feature.
