Thank you so much for inviting us out with you! We had a great time! We were impressed with how smart you were to come up with a way to get that sled back home! Notes taken…
It was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience for me! I loved every second of it, except for the snowmachine breakdown and repercussions thereof! Being out on the frozen lake with such a wonderful group, having a great bonfire and hot chocolate, watching the teams go by and all the other activity was an experience I'll always treasure. Thank you Tony!
So awesome, Tony! Ive seen the Yukon Quest. Watching these dogs just made my heart happy! 👍😎🇨🇦💫🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾P.S . Here's to that "Southern Ingenuity"! 🛠
Great video Tony!! I love all the team spirit on this day. The dogs were definitely in their element! Nice to see all the hand taps and hear the good lucks! ❤. Take care. See you in the next video!
What a fun way to watch the Iditarod, I am sorry I didn’t make it there this year. I am also sorry your machine broke, but being the mechanical minded man you are you made it work. I am so glad you had a really good time and enjoyed yourself.
Looks like you had a great time. We used to do that. I couldn’t find anyone around here to go to the river with this year. Last time I went I had to tow a sled back to the Nancy Lake parking lot from the river. Breakdowns happen. The race is done with many volunteers and people can sign up to work at checkpoints. They will fly you out and food is provided. I worked at Shaktoolik in 1995. I was the first one at the check point and the last to leave.
hey that place at the beginning also looked like the site of the world famous outhouse races! I've been following the Iditarod a lot more closely this year, it's been fun.
