There’s a way to lock the items, which is Birthrights. It locks all the items you had at the moment of picking it up.

@@SWAG_MASSIAH only the items you had before picking up birthrights. This would allow you to reroll by taking damage until you have a good build, pick up birthrights, and still reroll future items. I personally like that it's a thing, birthrights is rare anyways.

Sharp straw deals 10% of enemies health plus your tear damage, so it's actually really good. Even on big bosses like Beast and Delirium, if you can dodge for long enough, it takes at most 10 uses of sharp straw to kill them.

I guess a nice thing with tainted Eden is if you learn to accept to let go of holding onto any particular broken item, you can know that no run needs to hit the R due to awful item rooms since they will eventually get turned into something decent.

Actually, sharp straw does damage based on 10% of an enemy's max hp, so it will for example do 1000 damage on delirium (if he isn't transformed cuz damage scaling) but 0.6 damage on a fly

Also add your own tear damage to it. So basically if you have 1000000 (not possible) youll deal that plus 10% of the enemys health

As a small aside (thought he video is really old): Tainted Eden does NOT reroll Gulped trinkets when getting hit, so those and permanent bonuses from pills are the only things "safe" from the reroll.

6:05 Depends on how long he charges before firing. He sits there for a _little_ bit longer when charging the quad brimstone as opposed to the big brimstone. Alternatively, stand at the back wall slightly off to the side and you can avoid either, and just react to whichever move he does.

the 10% on sharp straw is 10% of the enemies max hp, so in a run with low damage it can easily outdps your own tears on high hp bosses like hush/delirium

Tainted Eden is a blast to play. Just a huge chaotic disaster. Really shakes things up in a way I enjoy. The highs of "Oh my god I got an amazing combo!" and the lows of "I lost that amazing combo literally 3 seconds after getting it and now I have Damocles looming over me noooo!" combine into a whole mess o' stupid. I wish the Tainted characters had more unlocks, though. It's basically my only gripe. It's fun getting successful runs with 'em all, but not getting rewarded is a bummer. There are enough new items, I think some shoulda been given to the alt-side crew so they had more unlocks per character. Tainted Eden Greedier was one of the most enjoyable runs I've ever had in Isaac. And when you can make Greed/Greedier anything but a chore, you've succeeded on a grand scale.

The fact that the stairway wouldn't have spawned on Gehenna 1 even if Hutts DID have the ladder in the starting room, and he could've just simply gone to the next floor and get the stairway made my day tbh

Sharp Straw's damage dealt is equal to Isaac's current tear damage plus 10% of the enemy's max health so 10 uses at Maximum will kill all enemies and bosses in the room (unless they have multiple health bars, in which that's another 10 for that next Health bar).
