Goju-Ryu karate was largely influenced by White Crane Kung Fu, from the Fujian province in the south of China. According to some historians, the same White Crane influenced the birth of Wing Chun. For me personally, the rebirth of this kind of bunkai is taking us back to the past, so we can build a solid future for karate, because karate is not all about competition.

@@GKCgoju Yes sir, not knocking the performance i am currently in a dojo which practices NEO Goju ryu, but the master began in Tae kwon do; his teachers brought in Shuri /goju from master Trias, also has Judo from master Shin (Hapkido/ Olympic Judo), techniques from Green Beret tactics Viet Nam era and much more. I personalyy been in Jeet Kun Do, Kali, I hold a rank of purple belt in Hapkido, and tradtional Ju Jutsu, and recieved my Black belt from a sister school in 2019; I am working hard to understand and get my belt in this fine art being a former police officer and US Marine. Iam 63 with disabilities and this school and master is giving me my health so much respect to you and yours -oooouuusss.
@@Kiwigeo8339 never done sport karate or kata ? I said MMA.....would genuinely like to see the theory here put into real life.....MMA as close as you can get and easy to arrange.....then quickly proves effectiveness of this training...simple
