Did they ever remake the Gottlieb tables? Class of 1812 and Black Hole deserve way more love than what they originally got. I have seen them both in VPX and the difference is insane. I get that the latter is running PC hardware but dang man... would be nice if they replaced their original 22 tables with something high effort. Mine shows up in a couple days, no idea how i'm getting it up the stairs bet LEGOOOOO!!!! 🤗
Do you live in Sacramento? I'll help carry it! LOL But to be honest with you, I don't know if the included Gottlieb tables got upgraded, cause I so rarely play the included tables. The VPX and FX3 tables are SO much better.
@@digitalvictory8266 Yeah i look forward to running at least the FX3 tables, they seem easy enough to configure but the whole VPX/Joytokey thing looks... hellish lol. Idk if i can pull that off once i get a good dedicated PC to run.
@@EQOAnostalgia Oh, you absolutely can! If I can do it, anybody can. I am NO non-technical - but I do know how to follow instructions. I just watch videos that tell me what to do and I do it. I'm happy to email you the Joy2Key config files that I use.
@@digitalvictory8266 Appreciate that but going to be a while before i can get the PC for it. By then who knows what will change. Right now i'm just stoked to get the ALP in a couple days and get a feel for it finally. I think i might actually opt for the Buystuff arcade backbox before i get a PC so i don't have to reconfig the backglass and DMD.
Nice first look. Your take on things was similar to mine, though I was more aware of the rules for Space Invaders and therefore enjoyed it more. The best thing about this pack is that even the EM style tables aren't done in the "retro" style. They're like the later days of EM tables, not the earlier ones with tiny flippers and very few actual targets or goals. I'd quarantine the "retro" tables if I could! (There was one that was OK, but the rest are a waste of screen space!) When you get the hang of Space Invaders, you'll probably really like it. Your score was actually fairly good, especially for a first try. It's a low scoring game.
Hey Lowell! What's up my man? I gave Darius and Frontline a deep dive last night (on the high score lists for both now under Chairman7w) and I like those a lot. I read the rules and really familiarized myself, and developed a strategy for them. Tonight will be Space Invaders - really looking forward to it. And I totally agree on the Retro tables - those are a no-go. I've really tried to give them a shot, but I just can't get into them. LOL Oh well.
@@digitalvictory8266 The Nautilus retro is passable, but it has a shot that I find very difficult, if not impossible, to make -- lighting "C" -- which is necessary for one of the big point payouts. (I think it's C, it's the target on the far left.) I've had one score make it to the online list, but it's probably long gone by now. If you see Lowbill, that's me. Good work getting two high scores!
Nice tables. But I agree that the hardcoe retro approach of 3 of the 4 tables smells a bit like an excuse to keep the development simple, even if it's communicated as early 80s retro and not Zac style 1965 ultra retro. It's still a bunch of very very basic tables that clearly were not as hard to design as the more ambitious space invaders. So: nice and all, but more 90s ish tables in the future please!

I finally found this at my local Sam's Club. I'm on the fence because I want to ad custom tables if that's possible like Sourh Park, Simpsons, Terminator, Addams Family. Is it possible to do so and does it require a laptop to be plugged into it to work? And is it hard to load additional tables?
It does require a PC to use the custom tables. You can see the PC I use on the left of my videos. I also have the PC specs in the video descriptions. I can't tell somebody to get this or not, obviously, it's a lot of money. But for myself, it's one of the best things I've ever bought. I play it every day.
Thank you sir! As for adding in tables can that be on a flash drive? If it's custom tables that I've heard about online that are custom and not official, THEY need a laptop right? I don't have any snazzy spec laptop so if it needs anything more than a basic laptop that might be a deal breaker for me. That's assuming there are even custom tables for things like KISS, South Park, Terminators, Simpsons if there even are out there!
@@WIDERisBETTER Yes, I'm sorry to say that the PC has to have a bit of beef. FX3 tables are a little more forgiving, but the ones you're talking about are a bit more hungry, in particular on the video card side. The AT Games releases (Zacarria, Taito) are the ones you download to a flash drive. But they're not the quality of the KISS and South Park type tables.

So if I were to buy the table and then wanted those Zacarria and Taito ones they are fine to download onto a flash drive and put in the USB on the top. But those custom ones that are online that people make (I assume can find online) need to be run off an actual computer vs a flash drive. Have you actually seen KISS or South Park out there? I ask about those types since I've honestly never heard of any of these Zacarria or Taito tables that they refer to in these kits but know big names like KISS, South Park, Terminator, Simpsons, Jurassic Park, stuff like that

Legends Pinball is a stand alone Virtual pinball table that comes with 22 games. BUT - you can hook it up to your PC and play other virtual pinball systems through the PC! It's amazing. I like the Space invaders table even though it is one that couldn't exist in reality. But they really need to take a break on the retro pinball games and bring more tables from the 90s style. It feels like they are just doing retro tables because they are quick and easy.
OMG I was thinking the same thing! I'd LOVE to see more creative, modern style tables, more like FX3 tables. And they proved the Legends Pinball system can do that with the Zaccaria Deluxe tables. I sure hope the next pack is more like that.
Love retro tables and I don’t enjoy the newer ones with so many tubes and multi levels etc etc too complicated . I need old fashion targets ! Lol so I’m happy
@@petermacnab1871 Keep in mind when we are talking about "newer tables" we are talking about tables that started coming out 30 years ago. The "newer" tables I like because they are not as repetitive and have more things going on rather than just hitting targets. For me they draw me further into the game. I want to say they are more immersive ... but not sure if that applies to pinball very well.
@@ronpetersen2317 I understand your Lou t of view but I still prefer simple tables with simple and clear goals ! What is your opinion of AT pinball vs arcade 1UP? The AT seems better to me. It’s 1,000 in Canada but what can you do. The arcade 1UP is 849.
@@petermacnab1871 The ATgames table over all is better for sure. The Zaccaria tables shine a lot more than the Gottlieb on a technical level. I think they need to update the Gottlieb on that level. I also like some old school "pinballs". I put that in quotes because I am thinking about the old baseball one which I would love to see brought to the Atgames. The 1ups just seemed they are designed for kids size wise. I like a mix of different type of tables but the AtGames is lacking in "modern" (tables from 30 years ago and later) tables as an option. A good modern table by the way will walk you through where you need to go next via audio.
