In Today’s episode we are heading down towards Taichung to explore the Beautiful Sun Moon Lake and Rainbow Village. One of the best Taiwan Day Trip you must do here.
Firstly from Taipei head down to Taipei Main Station - High Speed Rail Section (HSR) to get the return ticket down towards Taichung. Our advice is to get it online on Klook - its generally cheaper.

It will take about one hour from Taipei to Taichung and when you arrive at Taichung HSR Station you can either catch a taxi (less than $200 NTD) to Rainbow Village or take the bus 56 / 800 / 26 (You can Google Map this)
Once you are done with Rainbow Village head back to Taichung’s HSR Station to buy your Sun Moon Lake Pass - now in all honesty get the 790 NTD one over the full access unless you are thinking of going into the Formosan aboriginal culture village. There are plenty of other thing to see regardless. So my advice skip the Formosan package.
