I can't believe this is happening in Taiwan, where we thought we have democracy for over 20 years. It feels like the Qing dynasty where the emperor can make you dead any time he wants! His arrest was seriously considered as an improper and illegal action from the judicial department. Without any evidence to prove Dr. Ke has committed any crime, the juridical department searched his flat without finding. After the search, Dr. Ke voluntary followed the juridical department to a further interrogation regarding a case under his administration as Taipei mayor. He requested his legal human right to stop the interrogation after 19-continous hours interrogation around 02 am. But the prosecutor didn't allow him to leave in the midnight. On the contrarily, the prosecutor arrested him and forbidden his freedom. Dr. Ke was freely released without any accusation after 70- long hours fatigue interrogation including the continuous 19-hour interrogation. The whole procedure was considered as the backwardness and threat of the human right in Taiwan as the fairness of the legal procedure was in deep doubt. The improper action of the prosecutor has been protested by his supporters outside of the judicial department after Dr. Ke was arrested. Dr. Ke was and remains to be considered as the biggest opponent of the newly elected president Lie. After his release, the DPP (Party of the newly elected government) released an explanation for the improper action of search, arrest and forbidden of freedom of the prosecutor and juridical department, which supposed to be independent, on DPP's Facebook account. The action has been suspected that the newly elected government and its Party - DPP has put their hands into the juridical procedure. As the scandal spread out rapidly on internet. DPP removed this post from their FB account a couple of hours after the scandal happened. The democracy and human right has accelerated been damaged since the new president has been elected.
