Nah they're just a minority in Taiwan plus these people originated in Mainland China too..

Taiwan is actaully where Austronesians came from.

They are mainly Tagalog their ancestor is from northern tribe of Philippines.

The most recognizable difference between Taiwanese aborigines and the Han people is the eyebrows and eyes. The eyes of the Han nationality have double eyelids, and there are also single eyelids, but the Taiwanese aborigines basically have double eyelids. Some of them compared with the Han people, their eye sockets are deeper and their foreheads are higher. The skin color of the aborigines in southern Taiwan (such as the Paiwan people) is darker than that of the Han people, and the skin color of the aborigines in the north (such as the Atayal people) is similar to that of the Han people. In addition, for four hundred years, Han people often intermarried with aborigines, so some of the aborigines may be of mixed race. What else, Indigenous peoples now days are less likely to tan.
