These submarines and many other advance weapons should of been made 25 years ago. But, it was evil kmt that prevented TAiwan from building these weapons. Evil kmt voted hundreds to times in taiwan congress to stop building jet fighters, new submarines, buying advance weapons from usa. And many evil kmt parasites sold taiwan military technology to beijing china many many times. Evil kmt has damaged Taiwan alot .

in fact it only took 2.5 year from design to completion, after 5 years fruitless effort trying to buy a sub from the west. the whole world only turned to Taiwan after pooh did a lot of self damage during the pandemic.

why would they need a dozen Australia coast is what 15 times large then Taiwan yet they only have 6..... just 3 deployed subs in a concentrated area is a lot each sub has 18 plus torpedoes you only need 1 direct Hit to sink a ship, and you have an almost 50km range to hit something

In fact, Taiwan plans to build more unmanned submarines to coordinate operations. There are plans to build dozens of unmanned submarines to launch torpedoes. and a large number of underwater detectors. Unmanned submarines and underwater detectors are under the command of these submarines. Underwater probes can also serve as torpedoes. Unmanned submarines and underwater probes can use sonar connectivity. If the distance is too far or the sonar cannot be actively used, the AI can act according to the script.

It took China and South Korea 20 to 30 years to build their first submarines. It only took Taiwan 7 years to build its first domestically produced submarine. This shows Taiwan's overall industrial strength. It took only two years for Taiwan Shipbuilding Industry Corporation to build a factory capable of producing three submarines at the same time. It took only two years for Taiwan Steel Corporation to develop steel materials for submarines that are resistant to water pressure and explosions, as well as high-class steel material for unmanned submarines. It only took one year for Taiwan Steel Corporation to develop ultra-thin electromagnetic steel sheets for UAV power motors that are better than those used by foreign countries, making Taiwan’s domestic UAV power motors 100% made in Taiwan, and yet giviving it a strong competitiveness in the international market. It only took one and half years for Taiwan to expand its missiles factory production line for large-scale mass production of missiles, and released component technology to Taiwan civil supply chain factories, enabling Taiwan's domestic missile production capacity to reach 5000 pieces annually in 2025. The research institute of Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense has released the technology of military drones to Taiwan civil factories of supply chain, to support and cutivate Taiwan civilian drone industry, for them to support the large-scale production of military drones in case of the wartime. The high-tech component manufacturing industry is the core of Taiwan's manufacturing industry. The government budget should take the lead in promoting the manufacturing project of integrating military systems, such as submarines. Its current self-made rate has reached 40%, and its orders of 8 to 10 submarines will be released to civil manufacturers. Naturally, the civil manufacturers of supply chain will do reverse engineering to manufacture components to replace imported products. Taiwan's machine tool industry will cooperate in the development and production of related precision machining machinery and tools to support that. Finally, domestic submarines will eventually achieve a self-made rate of 80% to 90%, making the domestic submarines significant cost reduction. The design and technology of domestically produced submarines have originally adopted the standards of the United States, Britain and Europe. The quality and price of domestically produced parts and components of submarine's will have strong competitiveness in the international market. Taiwan will become the supply chain of the international submarine market.

The per-unit price of a Taiwan-made submarine is estimated to be around T$49.36 billion (approximately $1.53 billion), while the per-unit price of a German Type 212A submarine, which was released in the 2017, is estimated to be around 371 million euros ($394 million). A Taiwan-made submarine may have only 40% to 50% of the overall performance of a German Type 212A submarine. This means that the Taiwan home-made submarine is about four times more expensive than the German Type 212A submarine. Taiwan's so-called "homemade" submarine has only 30% domestic content, which means that 70% of its core components are managed by other countries that do not have governmental relations with Taiwan. According to "Uncle Ko"- very talkative guy without brain, some core submarine parts were smuggled from the other countries without export permits to Taiwan. This will soon cause a lot of maintenance issues and affect combat readiness requirements. Meaning to say, there is no any on-going supports if core components got damaged to kill Submarine Navy staffs there.

Its a bargain when you consider Australia gave France 4.5 billion AUD 3 billion USD for doing nothing , just to cancel a sub contract that France did not even start.... and there sub cost was for a diesel sub was higher then a nuke sub after all the silly mods AUS likes to add on. Indonesia and singpaore are building German subs for 1 billion USD earch which is cheap but no one can trust Germany anymore because look where all there car factories are and they always love money above morals so its too risky to buy from them , Taiwan had no choice but to build for itself

Just imagine what USD 1.8 billion can do to help a small population of Taiwan still living in poverty. The cost is way too high for even a nuclear powered submarine like the ones Australia is buying. The amount of kickbacks and corruption involved is too obvious to many. Maybe it's a last chance for the DPP leaders to loot as much as possible before fleeing when they next lose the election and Taiwan reverts back to unite with the PRC (China).
@user-bc7ob9kj5g
@user-bc7ob9kj5g Год назад
@leecheelek little pink, go to tell your communist dictator xi stopped bullying Taiwan, then Taiwan needs not to build submarines. How about the real estate corruptions in china?🤡

excuse me but i dont think you understand the purpose of the military , you sound like one of those people that says we dont need a military then when something like in Ukraine happens you blame the Government for not doing enough ... you just cant win with clueless people. A nuke sub is 2 billion USD only after you have a good production line like the US the first one is always a lot more . If you know so much maybe you should work in the military

Taiwan is province of China. the mainland is where the CPC (the winner of the civil war) & in Taiwan the KMT (the loser). both of them see Taiwan as province. as for the successor of KMT, since returning back to mainland is near impossible, they got this recent idea of annexing Taiwan as a country & no longer a part of China
