Taiwan Night Market is really solid, but I think I love the game because the expansion board is super nostalgic of night markets: trash cans, thin tables, cones, tables, loud speakers, etc. I kind of want little carts to go in the middle of the walkway only to have a cop come and they all the carts have to run away. 😂
Saw this on your IG first and got curious. Interesting game! Some ideas from Chinatown, Lords of Vegas, and Food Chain Magnet/Great Zimbabwe. Will definitely follow this campaign.
I thought of all those games when I first played Taiwan Night Market, and I can confidently say TNM is far more approachable than all four of them. That expansion board really pushes it over the top for me.
The art is very very good. It gave me some vibes of a recent game that came out Frist Rat. Both are bulky, rounded, there seems to be a filter over it. I'm not an art person so I'm just saying words but both styles while close or not from a real artists perspective look great to me.
