Hope everyone enjoys the new video :) AMAZING Breakfast Street Foods in Taiwan are plentiful! Follow us - facebook.com/chopsticktravel/ and instagram.com/derpyluke/
I appreciate the Chinese subtitles, but to be honest, it isn't 10/10, there's a few mistranslation here and there, typos...and it doesn't interpret the pun at the end. Overall, it doesn't affect the viewing experience, but there's definitely some room for improvements, compares to those triple A content you've brought for us.
IMHO, the Chinese translation is better than most of the professionally sub-titled foreign movie translations I've seen in Taiwan, China, (and Hong Kong). Some of which is admittingly pretty terrible. Kudo to whoever did the translation; it captured the essence of the English colloquialism into Chinese, which is difficult to do.
Taiwanese people are the nicest people you'll ever meet (I'm from America btw. Not bias) when my dad lived there he told me how they would always help him if he was lost or couldn't understand anything. When I went to visit they were always smiling and super helpful. I just couldn't help but to comment this bc the uncle that sold you that coconut looked so cute and happy
Great video Luke! That savoury dou jiang and tiao looked EPIC! We really have to get back to Taiwan, my mouth was watering throughout the video!! Cheers, Sheena
+Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel hey Sheena! It was very interesting to say the least! I'm glad you you guys enjoyed and hope you get back to Taiwan soon!
The almond tea is cool! I've never seen how people make it like this! I am not sure my parents saw this or not during their childhood. This definitely will surprise them anyway. Thank you for making this video! :)
Everytime me and my wife turn on RU-vid, the first content we have to look for is yours. We've been waiting for a long time, for your next Vlogs. Love all your videos, you two are great. pls post more , can't get enough of your Vlogs.
+awesome colin 2 hey Colin! I'm sorry for the wait really busy on our end getting things ready for some big improvements to the videos! Stay tuned!:) and thanks for watching!
wow the almond tea looks really good! I've been to taiwan multiple times, but I've never seen anything like it before! Thanks for the cool recommendation! (:
Just found these videos and absolutely love them. Such a cute couple and well versed on traveling the world. Allows me to "visit " places I would never be able to go to in person. I wonder if they would ever consider traveling to South America. I an sure they would be able to fine some very interesting foods there.
I just found this channel today ...this is great !! My wife is Taiwanese , we spent a few years there (Hsinchu & Taipei ) and in China (Shanghai) . We moved to Europe in 2013-2014 (family reasons don't ask haha) This is a little bit of home for us ..thank you !!! Keep up the good work and more Taiwan please (going through the playlist right now hahaha)
Wow Luke, another great video. Joining family later this month & will swing by for breakfast. The sad part is we pay 3 times more for half the quality here in Vanc. Enjoy your time in Taiwan.
Thank you for the kind words and thank you for watching! :) We use the Canon 70D for the wide angle shots as well as the food descriptions with the Rode Shockmount mic and the Sony a6000 for the B-roll.
Great video! What a team! The great shots, hearing the names of the places and foods, the maticulous descriptions of the foods all really highten my senses. Truly this is the second best thing to actually being there! Continued success... :) God bless you both ♥ Great bloopers! LOL
Look Like the new street food is so good to see you eat any things that make you happy love to watch you eat you love your food very good to know you enjoy it while you can when back home you find out that you missing your food oversea food is better thank you for sharing good video.
I'm subscribed to your channel and well done with your videos! Keep up the good work! Btw, are you planning a video on Chiayi? there's very little on RU-vid. I live at the moment in southern Spain, but will come to Taiwan later this year, and as I've heard that Chiayi is a nice and calm place I will certainly visit , but...I have not much info on it. Take care!
I prefer spicy food rather den sweet bt u make it easy for me to try to hve little bit of sweet tooth. I m a vegetarian bt I don't mind watching you eat meat pork beef sea food 😁 😜. jst getting addicted to you and your vlog. Good work Luke keep it up. Love from India.
This is the first video of yours that I have watched. Scrolled through your history and am surprised that you have been in Taiwan for only 6 months?! Dang, this video is so professionally presented and edited, I just had to subscribe! Awesome work!
Coconut juice summer drink is really great Cool and annealed. Winter favorite sweet soup be sure to add some QQ materials.I will also cook sesame dumplings to eat. The film was great👍
I love everything you are doing - the English and Chinese subtitles, your enthusiasm, your infectious exclamation "oh-ya"; the flow of the program, the soundtrack. Thumbs up, Luke!!! My only suggestion is to try to get the tones right when you speak Chinese. :) Google Translate will help you with the tones and pronunciation on the spot. And did you know you were speaking in Taiwanese Hokkien dialect in some instances? Amazing! In this episode: Tǒng zǐ mǐ gāo (筒仔米糕); Xián dòujiāng (鹹豆漿); Yóutiáo (油條); Jiān guǒ (煎粿) - this is spoken in a regional dialect; Tāngyuán (湯圓) - it is indeed mochi with filling.
Thumb up! I like you video a lot especially shoot in Chiayi, my father's home town. Will visit Chiayi someday and hope to meet you ! I really miss Taiwan and its food as well. Now I am living in Vancouver, Canada.
I really enjoy your culinary adventures to places that I probably would not have the time and opportunity to be. The food looks great! Thank you again!
Beautiful food you both like to eat and love any kinds of food very brave like to see you enjoy the food thank you for sharing your video is very good Bless you all.
It awesome what you have for your big cup of drink with egg hock and other foods you got looking good and interesting foods very difference food I love the what you call Chinese churro . You really make me very hungry thank. You for sharing .
Super awesome vid. Very educational and entertaining. Honestly prefer your videos over Anthony Bourdain's because you have a fresh friendly kind presence. You describe the food well and describe your experience with the emotion associated to the food your tasting. The music was a great choice. The camera work is fantastic ! Thank you so much for making such great videos. I think they should be on The Food Network and TLC. Loving your work here in Canada !!!! 😃
