The Fanna-Fi-Allah Sufi Qawwali ensemble performs Tajdare Haram in memory of Ustad Amjad Sabri. This concert at the Union Chapel London was one of ten events on their 2018 Europe tour hosted by Qalandar Arts, Tabaruq Records, Buda Musique & Ali Shan productions.

I was there in Union chapel. Devotional spirit was so palpable and intoxicating. I was in Medina...there and then! Loved it. I am not even Muslim!!! Ya Rasul Allah :)

I am jealous of you and surprised at same time. I want to go to medina sharif too with my mother and family. Kiya kismat hai. Madina sharif jisne dekha roze mubarak uspe jannat ki basharat hai agar imaan wala hai. Iman le aao madina sharif se jannat likha lao.

Yes, she was the student of Ustad Dildar Hussain. The tabla player for Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. She is almost at Ustad level herself now. Such refined and beautiful mastery of the instrument.

Qawali has originated from India and it is inbuilt embedded in Indian culture, this was long time before India got separated into Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal etc. No need of defining ot as Indian or Pakistani, it is now the culture of both countries.... 🙏
