For the generation today its an eye opener of sorts to visit the soak in these photographs of those days. There was a time when the number of foreigners visiting ladakh exceeded the population of leh town and our old bazar looked like any foreign town. Tourists wete welcomed by young and old and atmosphere was such after their artival that the guests just jelled into the local crowd and became part of us.Some would be familiar faces visiting ladakh a number of times.
