Takdah is a beautiful mountain village in the district of Darjelling.
It is one of the upcoming tourist centres of Darjeeling hills.
The name Takdah, literary means “a place always covered”. The original name was pronounced as 'Tukdah', which is a Lepcha word, meaning “mist or fog”.
Tinchuley is 32kms from Darjeeling (1.5 hours by car), 73kms from NJP (about 2.5 hours), 77kms from Bagdogra (about 3 hours)
While coming from NJP/Siliguri you can wait and enjoy the chill weather of Tinchulley.
