I worked on this video. It was my favorite music video to work on. We shot it at the A&R music studio in LA. I hunted all over the studio for the antique mikes and stands that we used. I put up the small apartment set in the corner of the studio. I loved the song, so it was easy to listen to all day long. Plus, the guys sang live in between takes. They were also really nice, so it was a great day.
I remember when this song came out. I was just coming of age. And I got my first real job. I was on my way to work I turned on the radio and there it was. Incredible! It must’ve been an honor to work with them. Thank you for the memory
Heck yeah they were. Very talented brothas. You dont hear this kind of sound sound anymore. This took real talent. I especially loved their radio jingles from the Do the Right Thing film.
Those dislikes must be hearing impaired! Their harmony is perfect. Before autotunes. This is timeless music. Positive message... How can you knock this.
I remember going to see them live in about 1989 or 1990, they were just hitting it big. I went to the concert with a woman who had a masters in voice and sang with a couple opera companies while in college. The woman could sing. Hell, she could make the dogs sing (literally, she could hit notes that just set 'em off). She was skeptical that what she heard on the CD could be reproduced on stage. By the start of the second song she'd gotten her jaw off the floor enough to start telling me just how hard it is to do what they were doing, live on stage. They turned her into a believer
I was only 12 years old when this song came out & I loved it! I can remember always taking my mother's cassette tape to listen to it over and over again.
The greatest vocal band ever! I saw them open for BeBe and CeCe at the Greek and as headliners at the House of Blues with the Blind Boys of Alabama. They are amazing!
Yes indeed I definitely remember this song by Take 6. Back in the day I had their cassette tape and I played this song like crazy. These guy's can sing to me anytime!!! I definitely love all of their songs. These guy's are very talented!!! Where are they at today? My favorite gospel group Take six!!!
this guys have been around for more than ten years and they have been norminated more than ten times at the grammys one hell of a track record that other singing groups should learn and that s to stay together and acheive success. this guys are simply stupendous
They look like they had a lot of fun making this video. LOL I SO luv Take 6! You can tell Brian and Claude are brothers on this song! I hear the similarities in their singing style.
I love this group and their vocals is amazing. This is major talent I love Boyz II Men they are my #1, I might have to put Take 6 as my #1 favorite groups also.
sounds likes they used instruments for this songs their voices are compact and the harmony is incredible cant beleive this song was recorded more than ten years ago
Got damn, last time I heard this song was when I was six years old. Its shame how the mainstream media doesn't even care snogs like this exists. Now I gotta do some google searching to see if I can go cop album. Cuz vocally ain't nobody touchin this group, period.
Ok, it’s presently 10:41pm est, Sept 12th, 2020 and this song randomly popped into my head, so I’m here sitting in the shower watching and singing along with every tune! A testimony to how fucking dope this song is! Sorry for cursing. ;)
This great track points the way , even in this crisis my friends to understanding , love and respect for one another in the harmony that is life - Peace ! ! ! 🌎 🙏 👤 .
I know somebody who declares he has it made He won't admit it, but it's just a masquerade He's a modern-day deceiver With a case of falsehood fever What a shame, it's just a game And then there's good ol' sister Sarah Ain't she sweet? (Oh, yes she is) She gets the world, next thing you know it's in the street By the time it's been repeated All the truth has been deleted What a shame, another game Seems like everything we hear is just a tale But I've got something that will never, ever fail (It's called love) Spread love, instead of spreading lies Spread love, the truth needs no disguise I've often said love could open any door Oh, but I wish we had much more More love is what we need Then there's a family that we'll just call "the Greens" (How 'bout 'em?) They have subscriptions to the gossip magazines With a twisted sense of vision They treat rumors like religion What a shame, it's the "same-o'-same-o'" Well, it seemes like everything we hear is just a tale But I believe in something that will never fail Spread love, instead of spreading lies Spread love, the truth needs no disguise I've often said love could open any door Oh, but I wish we had much more More love is what we need What the world needs now… (I'm tellin' you love is what we need) … is love, more love is what we need What the world needs now is love… (We need more love) … more love is what we need Spread love, instead of spreading lies Spread love, the truth needs no disguise I've often said love could open any door Oh, but I wish we had much more More love is what we need Spread love, instead of spreading lies Spread love, the truth needs no disguise I've often said love could open any door Oh, but I wish we had much more More love is what we need Spread love, instead of spreading lies Spread love, the truth needs no disguise I've often said love could open any door Oh, but I wish we had much more More love is what we need
