No real data metrics or analysis like RPM, Power, Pop, Control, Swing Weight, Twist Weight to justify a $200 cost.

Thank you for the valuable feedback on the Vlog which featured some new Babolat paddles. In terms of power (weight and length), pop (thinner core), control (high-friction surface and thicker core) aspects of the newer Babolat paddles, they were covered in a general manner. As far as specific swing weight, and twistweight numbers, we are eager to jump into the swing weight conversation, and deliver the most accurate details. Paddle swing weight relates to both the static weight, and balance, which equates to one of the most noticeable aspects of paddle performance. We have shied away from including paddle swing weight in our product descriptions for two main reasons. The first is that no two paddles are ever going to be physically identical to each other. Part of this reality is due to quality control at a factory, and the other is that materials like graphite, and carbon, are not completely uniform in nature. In addition, the sheets of polymer are not precisely the same either. On the tennis side of things, Tennis Warehouse is a credible leader for dispensing accurate spec details on tennis racquets, including swing weight. And Total Pickleball strives to become the equivalent. Swing weight numbers for tennis racquets are a result of a sample set being measured, and the average of the set becomes the listed swing weight. At this point, I suppose we prefer to be called out for not posting swing weight details, rather than posting inaccurate information. In other words, if we measured the 3 paddles that were featured on the Vlog, and stated the numbers as a given, there is basically zero chance that a player buying one randomly, would receive a paddle that exhibited the same set of specs. Tennis Warehouse did not immediately dive in to the racquet swing weight conversation, and by the time we did most of the racquet manufacturers had stopped listing swing weight averages on the product placards because of how vast the disparity in swing weight was. Hmm. Mark/TP

"quality control at a factory, and the other is that materials like graphite, and carbon, are not completely uniform in nature." there absolutely no reason for reviews, it's like your telling potential buyers it all comes at a risk.

Spray on grit sucks. spin RPM will degrade quickly in comparison to raw carbon fiber.

I suppose we can discuss exactly what quickly means, but yes, spray on grit does lose its ability to bite the ball. We also notice that raw carbon surfaces wears down with play, and also exhibits some consistency issues, in terms of the level of grit across the playing surface. We notice that many paddles, when new, bite the ball like a junk yard dog, and provide excellent spin potential, but become smoother with play, and over time. Holy diamonds! I have heard the Ed Harris, and Kevin Bacon thing, when I lived in L.A., but wow your observation busted up the entire room, and made my day/week. Reading that was like trying not to smile while riding a jet ski, virtually impossible! Mark/TP

Thank you for the very reasonable request for us to list the swing weight results for the new Babolat paddles, which were featured on a recent Vlog. Accurately, we are eager to jump in to the conversation about paddle swing weight and twist weight, the way we have for the last quarter century at Tennis Warehouse. That said, there is one primary and secondary reason we have not yet done so. The main one relates to calibration issues that have been detected with the swing weight measuring devices that are specific to pickleball. And thus far those issues have not yet been resolved. The other is that no two paddles are ever going to be equal, in terms of weight, balance, swing weight, and twistweight; even if they are both the same model of paddle. So you need to have a decent sample set of a paddle to get a sense of what the average swing weight is, and then list it as such. It would be lottery like odds that any two paddles will measure out to be the same in more than two of those categories. That said, I just pulled the 3 original paddles from the Vlog, picked out 2 more of each paddle (9 total) and put all of them on the scale, and SW machine. Here are the average results: WZRD+ = 8.45 oz./ 83.6 SW BALLR+ = 8.3 oz./84.8 SW STRKR+ = 8.1 oz./87.3 SW We have yet to receive the updated swing weight measuring device, and our best estimation is that they should maybe reflect a number of around ten additional SW points. Thanks again for the valuable feedback, and stay tuned for accurate swing weight averages to be listed in our paddle descriptions. Mark/TP

Hoping Babolat comes up with a PB colorway similar to the 2021 Babolat Pure Aero Rafa.
