Please don’t be so hard on yourself Gareth, you are an amazing person and you help so many bovines get wonderful relief from their hoof problems.God bless you,Tom and your beautiful families
Yep my friend had surgery and they left a pair of scissors inside of her. She kept going to the Dr complaining of pain and they labeled her as drug seeking. She finally got a second opinion and they took some images and bam there was a pair of scissors
1 slip in how many thousands of hooves trimmed? Absolutely, we understand it can and does happen. As you said, she's walking with much less pain than before you started trimming.
Don't beat yourself up, Gareth. As long as you did your absolute best at that point in time, then there is no need for regret. Always seek to improve and nothing negative can stop you.
It's always the same in this life! People who comment on how you should be doing things without most of them having absolutely no hands-on experience themselves! I think you always give 100% and do a wonderful job caring for all the cows you treat Gareth.
You are awesome. I started watching hoof trimming videos while in recovery from a concussion. I still love watching them. Every day you go to work, you make a difference
Gareth, thank you for your honesty. You could have easily edited that out of the video but you let us see that sometimes little mistakes do happen. Again, thank you.
Great job, Gareth - as always❣️ That cow looked very comfortable walking away from the crush, so I think we can all see that you helped her. ❤ I bet she felt so much better than she did before, despite a tiny little nick. You’re doing delicate work with sharp knives on flesh that is already tender so the tiniest touch can cause bleeding. None of us is perfect and you guys do SOOOO much good for these cows every day. Keep up the great work! 👍👏❤
Gareth, you are so honest and transparent. No one is perfect. You are the hoof trimmer channel I am subbed to and will continue to be subbed to. You and your father and the rest of the crew are kind hearted, and excellent in your profession. I'm sure another creator may have chosen to omit this, but you did not. I truly respect and admire you. Don't beat yourself up. You have a beautiful family. Stay blessed. 🕊️🕊️🕊️
Hey friend no worries your do a loving service to these beautiful creatures and we all see the love and care you put into each and every cow you trim and we also see how much it hurts your heart to see them in pain. Sending love and prayers and blessings to you and your family. You’re doing a great job.
Good to see you fellas again. I bet she didn't even feel that little scrape. After getting that foot fixed she feels a lot better. I always love when they stop & say thanks.
We’re all human, hun, & we make mistakes. If anyone gives you grief, just let them know that it must be nice being so perfect all the time. You’re doing a great job, accidents and all! ❤️
Dear Gareth you don’t need to explain yourself when you are clearly helping the cows… we as humans have to go through some pretty uncomfortable stuff for the greater cause … keep up the great work in beautiful Ireland 👍
Everyone that has surgery bleeds. I'm a hoof trimmer also and although we try our hardest not to do it it's inevitable. Eventually it's going to happen. A surgeon told me the same thing basically. She'll heal up just as fast!
Gareth always starting with a good stretch….and then helping out our dearies who give us so much..…Good Man. Addendum: Shyte happens…you’ve helped her, that’s what is important.
You both do a great job for the cows and you bleed on them inside for them. You also know wives are your main critics, so your ears have already ringing. Stay safe guys.👏👏👏😊😊😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
For all the good you do for the dairy farmers and the cows themselves a little accidental touch that causes bleed I think we all forgive you. That is so sensitive and easy to bleed just from touch that it really shows your skill how rarely that happens ❤
I just love that you showed that you made a misstake and knicked her whit your knife. I bet it didnt hurt her that much cause she didnt flinch or make any sounds. You are the first one i ever seen that showed such a thing and not cut it away. I like it cause it tells me that you are sure off your self and we all make misstakes from time to time.
Please don't beat yourself up over it. I've clipped my dog's claws for many years, and even with lots of experience, I've still misjudged once or twice and gotten the end of the quick. You do an awesome job and care so much for the animals that you work with. Here's a wishing that you'll have lovely days ahead of you.
God love ya hun, *hit happens 💕 I’m Amazed at what ya do…your empathy is contagious. You have educated a person who has no idea about this trade. We all love you! Tell your wife to go easy on ya today😜
You are so good at what you do. I bet all those who want to "beat you up" couldn't do any better. At least you admitted your mistake. I still love watching you and your dad trim hooves.
I watch hoof trimming podcast because I am a animal lover. God bless you and all people that do this type of work you are a special person. The cow's are at your mercy for survival they are are relived of bad pain. PS keep up the good work cow's depend on you. Happy Holidays
1 wee slip/nick can happen to anyone. You do the best you can wish each trim. You are human n these things are accidental error. You always try your best to help them feel better
Sir Gareth, you are only human and mistakes will happen occasionally so don't fret! The good you do, for these cows, FAR outweighs any little mistakes you might make!! Great vid as always!❤
Hiya Gareth and Sir Tom,! SO great to see you both back together again!❤ Considering the number of "wee cows" you must trim daily, and the care you show them- you must expect to nick one every so often! And in all the time lve been an avid watcher of your videos and come to admire your deftness with those super sharp knives, lve never seen either of you have anything but their best interests at heart.-& she had no appearance of anything other than a comefortable waking pace as she left the crush!(Naomi must be tired with the new baby, and Missy will be very energetic nowadays,so lm sure she'll not give you grief either,- after all SirTom just says "get me another cow in here& keep going"!!😅)May you all stay safe, well and content, always. J.I.M.K Mrs. Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 ❤ ♥ 😊
To be fair, it didn't look like corium there on the video. It was very surprising. But things happen, mistakes will be made or no one would ever get better and continue to grow in what they do. You fixed the issue and took care of the cow. All is good
People who are mean to you in their comments act like THEY have NEVER made a mistake EITHER but everyone else knows different. You do you and try not to worry about the less than brilliant people who criticize you....
I hopeyou are not to hard on yourself, a little blood now and then doesnt make you a heartless person it makes you human to err. This cow will feel much better than she did before.
What is a typical day schedule for you ? Is this a daily job for a week ? Do you get paid hourly or a set rate per cow ? Also are the farmers mostly small or do you do large industrial size places ? And thank you for sharing
Listen I used to cut hair for a living and almost every time I cut my son’s hair I cut one of his ears. I try so hard to not but it happens. So don’t stress. At least it wasn’t one of your kids! 😊
