With school out and the Bangor pool about to open, volunteers broke out the unique 2-car miniature train ride that takes you around the whole park! This train is over 70 years old and is purely kept running by the hard work of volunteers and people who donate towards its upkeep. With the age of the ride, most if not all parts are not manufactured anymore and therefore need to be custom fabricated, which doesn't make things easy. Good news though, as I've heard the train will be shipped out over the winter to have plenty of weld work and other miscellaneous things done to ensure it keeps on running. So if you're ever in the Bangor area, stop by the park and take a look! And if you're lucky, maybe I'll be the engineer! ;)
