Just went on a tour yesterday. Lambeau Field is a hallowed place where boys became men, men became champions, and champions became legends. Coming out of the tunnel and seeing the stands empty, then imagining 80,000+ screaming their voices raw in cheer for you put a massive shiver down my spine. Now imagine the greatness that has passed through that tunnel. Starr, Taylor, White, Favre, Rodgers, Matthews, Freeman, Sharpe, Driver, Lombardi... What a privilege. What an honor. What an experience.
The history in that place is amazing! I'm a Cowboys fan, but would love to tour Lambeau Field and appreciate the greatness of the place and the history of that great franchise. Thanks for sharing.
Took the tour when I attended the Cowboys at Packers game in 2016. A must see venue for all football fans. The history behind the game of football. Such a classy fan base as well, as the Cowboys were victorious that game. Classy organization, classy fan base. I shall definitely return.
I've been to multiple stadiums before...but none beat Lambeau. It's more cheery and welcoming here, unlike all the gloomy concrete walls and dark colors of other stadiums...Goshh, I love it here!
i remember running on that field 100yards to the endzone and back when i was about 7 or 8 years old, back in the day it was very open and my dad asked the grounds keeper if it was possible and he said go right ahead and so my sister and me started running.
I went to there today with my Accounting class (got to talk to the Packers Accountants) and we got to see the team take their 2013 team photo today. Got to see it from up in a suite. It was so cool seeing them take that photo. Itll be neat to know that i was there when they took that team photo.
Not a Packer fan at all but my basketball team played up in Green Bay and we ate at Curly's and I just gotta say amazing stadium.... Fans or not it'll be worth you're while going to Lambeau
The Pro-shop brought in over $16 million the previous year! What they fail to say that was four jerseys and two posters! Seriously, it was things like this that helped turn the Packers around. Harlan founded new revenue streams, a little here a lot there, along with the spending of the Packers' war chest and there's a BIG reason the Packers got good in the 90's.
We ran on the field a couple of years in a row and the first time i discovered that the field is on a curve with the highest point in the middle and its lowest point near the sidelines. I thought that was pretty strange as i just thought the field was flat which football fields are not.
Too bad he tour guide didn't point out the "yard of concrete" that was taken from the floor of the old tunnel and placed in the new tunnel. When I took the tour, the guide told the story about that yard of concrete."Over the years stepped upon by the famous Packers whose names are part of Packer history and installed in Packer Hall of Fame and (in some cases) the NFL Hall of Fame. Packer organization does things like that, proud of the heritage and history.
