When the pandemic hit, Kelis did what many only fantasize about doing: She sought refuge on a farm in the country, and found liberation in unruly livestock and homegrown arugula. Here, the singer and chef takes us around Bounty Farms, a sprawling property in Temecula, California, and talks caring for her farm animals, pressing her own olive oil, and building a legacy of land ownership for her children.

I agree!! We had the freshest food, from the ground to the table. Unbelievable taste!!!😲👍🏼. My dad would go to work @ about 6A, and get home about 3:30P. And after working extremely hard on the Railroad, by swinging a heavy sledgehammer aligning the tracks. He would get the mule and big plow and plow our farmland. So yes, it’s hard work, but it was worth it!!

What a serene setting and productive too. You can tell she’s not doing this to build a “brand” like most celebrities, she’s really invested in this place and the lifestyle it provides. You have to be a hearty soul to run a farm successfully (it’s A LOT of work), but she seems to know what’s needed and to be up for the challenge. I love this and wish that more celebrities would chill out, show us their more authentic, educated, relaxed side of themselves. I found Kelis to be very interesting and would probably visit her farm she opened it up to the public.

Love me some Kelis. She's always been quite unconventional & I appreciate that about her. I can definitely relate to the farm life tho. I was born & raised on a farm in Jamaica. Best upbringing ever!!!
