Hi Jason, "Willy Wonka-esq" elevators, cute wordsmithing there!!! You sounded a little "Iffy" on the buffet food. "The Chilly Arctic Air did eventually chase me away !!" I knew I could count on you to be a good sport about sailing on an expedition ship rather than a "bells and Whistles" cruise ship. I thought you were much more upbeat about this cruise than others, in the past, who did not really take to "Expedition sailing." I would have liked a "Plush Puffin" from the shop. I guess I will have to make due with a "Captain Hudson" from Emma !! ha ha ha The elevator area with the "very large screen" on the back wall is similar to the elevator bays on the Ponant expedition ships. The scenery was great on this trip, congrats on making it to the Arctic Circle Marker Ball !!
Much appreciated! Yes, the plush puffins were adorable, and the elevators were sure impressive. I suppose the buffet food was good but just less inspired.
Hurtigruten ships are rated quite low. 3.0/6.0, the prices are not great and flights to Europe are not cheap. I seriously question the value of Hurtigruten.
so what did you expect from an expedition vessel, casino, tiki bar, waterslide, 5000 Walmart creatures with their screaming brats?? lots of cruise ships offer that crap 🙄
