How much mohair yarn would be needed to crochet a cropped cardigan with bell sleeves if I single stranded it and used a 3.5 mm hook?

Probably between 7-15 balls depending on the size you are making. If you are following a pattern, they might have a scale of how much yarn they used by weight or by yards! That might help make it easier to estimate the amount you need.
