I remember when this first released, I thought this was going to be the zenith of Otamatone videos, and it'd take something big to do better. Ever since then, time and time again, this channel has wowed me in new ways, and made me laugh at covers I'd have never thought of in a million years--all while being awestruck at how each of those covers still sounded good. This silly little otamatone channel has come a long way and is showing no signs of stopping. Thank you so much SullyG, and here's to even more!
It's this otamatone cover that makes you realize, TheRealSullyG is doing this because he loves it, and is so dedicated to recreating songs with otamatones that he had someone work on / worked on comic strips from Take On Me with otamatones. That's crazy, and I love it. Keep going, man.

I... have two monitors, so I pulled up the actual video on one screen, muted it, then started both at roughly the same time. after pausing the one that was ahead a couple times, I had them synced, and... It's disgusting. Because he got EVERYTHING. there was not a single pan across the girl's face he missed, almost every camera angle was perfect, all the comic book transitions... just wow.
We finally live in an age where an amateur videographer can remake the music video for Take On Me but all the characters are replaced with singing Japanese pianica puppets. Today... is a good day.
Not even meming, this is actually a masterpiece. The way you remastered the entire music video and made it so the production value is just perfect. Also how the background instruments are just otamatones, a drum and a synth. That is truly impressive.
LeviathanShark that specific keyboard doesn't have that many synth options. This keyboard is a Casio lk-100 keylighting system keyboard. A very interesting choice for this video since its a begginers keyboard. I found one at a garage sale a couple days ago and decided to pick it up for $20 that's a steal for one of these. I was surprised to see one in this video just a couple days after I bought it!
The visual effects are unbelievable and everything, but it’s the camera work that I’m most impressed by. The positioning of the otomatones to mirror that of the original music video is near perfect. Such a brilliant job 👌🏻
When Instagram targeted me with an ad for one of these and I had no idea they existed and it lead me to finding this amazing video! This is the coolest!! 😆 the amount of work that went into making this music video remake is incredible!
I was listening on the synth-only version of Take On Me and out of nowhere, my brain asked: "Hey, look up for an Otamatone version of Take On Me!" I was expecting I would see a phone-recorded video with only a little views, but well-orchestrated. Boy, I came looking for copper and I found gold.
