I did what I was told back then. I'm 40 years old and almost 200k in debt because I was told to go to college. And then I did what I was told about loans and continuing in school and now I'm paying for it. Please learn to think for yourself. My parents meant well, my professors meant well, but I would be so much better off if I had taken the year or so to figure out what I wanted to do. In reality most jobs I want I struggle to get because I'm "overqualified".
