The Flood is the song that brought me to TT! I got goosebumps the first time I heard it, and it brought me to tears... / Robbie came up with many of the lyrics~ So great! Howard is so funny "Well, I wrote that one"...haha :)
To those worried about Jason, watch the msn interview which was obviously recorded on the same day. My theories: 1. Jason was stuck in traffic. 2. Jason had a dental appointment after the msn interview 3. Jason felt that he contributed less to the writing process than to other aspects of Progress such as artwork and staging and perhaps felt he would have little to contribute. He certainly seems happy, relaxed and confident and says a great deal in the msn interview. Don't Panic!!!
I flippin' love that they are doing this. Can't wait to hear the rest of commentary. Really great to have their perspective on the lyrics. I was halfway there on The Flood, definitely got the evolution of mankind in relation to the band's progress but couldn't figure out who they were literally holding back the flood of if you will. At first I thought it was against other bands in an almost boastful way, but its more personal to them. I'm really happy to get the full jist of the song now. :D
Although The Flood is not my favorite song,I have to admit that,music-wise,it's very well written.I don't get,though,people's complaints about Jason not being in this interview.At least he got to talk in the MSN one;on the other hand Gary& Howard might as well not have been there,they're so quiet.Not to mention that Gary only got to sing 1song on an album where he did all the backing tracks.If we split hairs,everyone has something to complain about,but it's useless.They know what they're doing.
First off... Love this song and the guys. And then... Some things about the guys: 1. Mark looks so cute! 2. I loved Robbie's last comment and I love him being that expressive. 3. Howard looks old! And even more with those clothes on! 4. Why is Gary that serious? Maybe because he hadn't wrote that song?
oh damn... i'd love to go to one of take that's concerts but i didn't get a ticket :( i was so sad when they weren't allowed to perform on wetten dass...?
I think Gary isn't really love the idea tha the zoom's on Robbie...he's looking so series in this sessions. Track by Track is a great idea :) Where is Jason?!
@stevephengb Gaz looks so skinny in this interview. and i agree with Steve, Rob's behaviour hasn't changed, he often looks like he's the unpolite one, funny mood apart
@bsbarg Howard's talking to him at 2:41. This is from the same sit down they had for the MTV interview...a continuation. The lads must have been thinking this would make a nice Christmas present - they were right!
