Exactly! The actual perp is a huge narcissist, and that is probably the only thing that saved Denise’s life as he wanted attention for being a big bad home invader/robber. The police’s refusal to assist Aaron in any way nearly got Denise killed.

I am NOT surprised by the police’s behavior and I am married to a PO. Year’s before I married my husband, I had a stalker call the Police made a whole bunch of False allegations and when I went in to give a statement about the false allegations the police department twisted my whole statement around on me. I had to hire an Attorney to clear the false allegations, prove the ex-bf was a liar had a criminal past that I had found out about and that I had found out he was stalking me for 7 year’s and I never received an apology from the police department. My husband being a PO told me to NEVER talk to the Police without an Attorney because they can lie during an interrogation and twist your statement around. Shame on this Officer!!!

It's actually ridiculous that they thought he murdered her and then came up with the most absurd story possible to cover it. Like how would that make any sense? Where would he get all of these weird ideas about a wetsuit, goggles, pre-recorded messages, etc. It actually makes zero sense that a domestic violence situation turned deadly would result in that strange of a story. It's one of those things where life is stranger than fiction. You couldn't make this kidnapping up if you tried! I'm actually shocked at how stupid the detectives were.
