The only country to have glaciers, mountains, hills, seas, gulf, lakes, rivers, ocean, desert, plateau, plains, valley, waterfalls, forests, deltas, canion, greenery and others. Mother nature poured all her wealth here.
A perfect continent for living from ancient times. When west and Southand North countries were under ice age. Peoples in Indian sub contient living peaceful life.
Thanks to you guys , we have now booked the exact same boat for our Kerala backwater tour, in April. Being able to see the condition of the boat and the friendly staff made it a easy decision for us , thanks for your hard work and efforts 👍🏻🇬🇧
Yeah, well, many comments about the heat in Kerala but actually, being from Kerala, we don't have extremes of temperature....the temperature is almost always the same...so it might be pretty manageable
@@akshatrao1818 it's the coastal areas dude. Temperatures are milder and also they want to experience the heat as they are experiencing the coldness there.
The beauty is that there is no destination to reach like other cruises operate . Just disconnect and experience the calmness. Kerala is one of the top 52 destinations in the world to visit in 2023 as per New york times recent list.
Wow this looks so fantastic!! I’m definitely going to do a houseboat cruise even if I am a solo traveler. The views, the river life, the food…thanks for sharing this.
@@user-yt9yw6uf4m Yes, I recently did visit and will be returning to the backwaters area in another week for the houseboat cruise and a homestay along the waterway.
My family comes from Kerala although I grew up in Delhi. It’s a shame that I never took a houseboat ride. As for me, visiting Kerala is more about visiting family and of course food! It’s amazing to see you guys enjoy. As I now live in Germany and whenever people ask me what I miss about India, I say the food. As you guys mentioned you overate. I feel the variety and taste of Indian food, you cannot find it anywhere else.
@@nicoleandmico it so is! Summer vacations were always peaceful and calm. I actually just came back a month ago from Kerala after visiting my family in Kochi. Can’t wait to see where all you guys will go in Kerala. It feels like I am there with you guys!
@@madhurisajith I relate to you so much! I come from Kerala too, but was brought up in Gurgaon and visiting Kerala for me has always been about spending time with family as well and haven't had a chance to explore as much.
Indian is very different from north to south , east to west. India has 5 seasons, we have desert, snowy mountains, beaches backwaters and hillstation. It's one of most geographically diverse country in the world If you're in India now, in the month of January. You can go to Thar desert in rajasthan, and just 924km from the desert you can visit a city in Himachal Pradesh called "Shimla". It's a hillstation where you can experience snowfall It's insane that after you travel 924km you will literally go from a desert to snowy hillstation city😂 That's how insane India's geography is!!
Wow, that’s incredible! I never knew about Kerala and I will definitely be adding that to my wish list! Such a cool and unique experience! Would be so cool to get on a boat house for the first time in India
I am also addicted to the cinema of Kerala and have seen 100 films from Kerala here are my top 10 Kerala films you should see 1) Angamaly Diaries (2017) 2) Ee Maa Yau (2018) 3) Anantaram (1987) 4) Guru (1997) 5) Traffic (2011) 6) Munnariyippu (2014) 7) Maalik (2021) 8) The Great Indian Kitchen (2021) 9) Android Kunjappan ver 5.25 (2019) 10) Esthapan (1980) There was a Kerala film called Veyilmarangal (2019) it was as good as the Korean Film Parasite.
Same things anyone can do in Sundarbans in both part India and Bangladesh but it includes Jungle Safari on a boat , you can see spotted deer, wild boar, wild hen , moniters some kind of lizard and different types of birds , crocodile and if you are so lucky you can see the Royal Bengal tiger and Dolphin it's rare to spot them .
Hi Nicole and Mica, your anchoring and smily face throughout the video makes us so happy while watching your content. Thanks for showing beaty of our country.
Your vlog brought back memories of me visiting Kerala with my family, hiring boat and spending night there in backwater. Food served on boat was awesome. Another awesome place is Munnar. I wish I can revisit Kerala. Happy journey.
This has got to be one of my favorite specialty excursions along with Patagonia and Wadi Rum night camp that you guys have done. Really cool experience and that was an insane amount of food that looked like you barely made a dent in it.
Wonderful Vlog about Backwaters of Alleppey. If you are exploring Kerala, kindly do visit Munnar, Thekkady, Vagamon, Wayanad, Kasaragod, Malom, Silent Valley National Park, Thalassery and Ranipuram. Worth Visiting Places especially now during Winter Seasons. Weather over there is very pleasant and cooler.
I'd recommend you to visit Himachal Pradesh (Shimla, Manali..), Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Rajasthan (Udaipur, Jaisalmer), Northeastern states, Andaman & Nicobar Islands in your next trip to India.
Kerala is beautiful, I would request you to do visit Uttrakhand if possible. Beautiful Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Lansdowne are also good. Manali in Himachal Pradesh is simply something surreal if you visit in January.
You can explore Kerala further , you will enjoy it very much like this one too. Another hidden gem is Coast of Karnataka , just neighbour state of Kerala and also Hampi , historical kingdom of South. Also I expected you to visit Some Hindu temples in India but you didn't. If you are still in India in South , visit some excellent temples or historical place in South , it's our culture.
'The Finishing Point' is actually the finishing point of 'The Nehru Trophy Boat Race', which is Indias most famous boating event. Snake Boats are raced along the canal course, containing as many as 50 people!
The place showed, Kuttanadu is one of the 2 places in the world where the cultivable land is few meters below the sea level and the lake water is at a higher level and is separated from the land by broad bunds and by constantly pumping water out, here if you observe carefully, you can see paddy cultivation is below the level of the water in the canal. nowadays water is pumped out. my grandfather is basically from there and in those days wooden blades(chakram) were used to pump water out manually 24 hours/day. 24/7. The other place where cultivable land is below the sea level is Holland.
wow I don't think I could ever do that. because they would have to call the police to get me to leave!!! :) looked amazing! out of curiosity were alot of mosquitoes when you were sitting on the top??
Haha yeah we had such a hard time leaving the boat! It was very relaxing and so enjoyable to see where the rivers and canals lead to. Also surprisingly there weren't very many mosquitos at all. We put on bug spray when we docked but they were never an issue so no complaints 🙂
you have to try beef rost or fry and parotta(not paratha or roti which is what it looked like in the video), appam and chicken curry, and thatuakada chicken fry, semyia payasam (dessert), Kerala Fish Curry and rice, Kerala prawn curry and nice pithari, duck curry and kalappam, squid ring fry and rice, puri and potato subzi. bf curry and rice.
yay! another video of random foreign people visiting India! lol j/k - i've subscribed folks! 😀✌ but there are only SO MANY hours in a day, its so hard to catch up with vids I need to watch...you two look like a cool foreign couple though so I subscribed.
I love the cinema of Kerala my favorite directors from Kerala are G Aravindan, Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Padmarajan, Shaji Karun, Dileesh Pothan and Lijo Jose Pellisserry. I have seen more than 100 Kerala films and my top 10 Kerala films are the following: 1) Angamaly Diaries (2017) 2) Ee Maa Yau (2018) 3) Anantaram (1987) 4) Guru (1997) 5) Traffic (2011) 6) Munnariyippu (2014) 7) Android Kunjappan ver 5.25 (2019) 8) The Great Indian Kitchen (2021) 9) Maalik (2021) 10) Esthapan (1980)
Much hyped Golden Triangle which foreigners generally visit in India actually among worst places of the country except parts of Jaipur. places like goa and Kerala are beautiful parts of India. Goa was made famous by the hippies in the sixties and seventies while Kerala government has done a great job promoting the state. India has so much beauty to offer just need solid marketing.
You guys need to come to Andaman Nicobar islands in. India . It has transparent water with scuba diving and various other water activities. a totally different side of India
it look like most tourists from other countries like Alappy backwaters but we dont get it we like hilly areas here in Kerala mostly the western ghats ..
When/if you visit India again and if you are able to visit Kashmir then, then definitely give the house boats in Dal Lake a try... They are really a different experience altogether as well...
guys as you are in kerela please don't forget to try out lakshadweep or andaman and nicobar islands they are like maldives of india you will regret it if you miss it please don't
There's a reason why India is called as Subcontinent. Infact India alongwith its neighbouring countries are part of the Indian subcontinent. Probably geographically, linguistically and culturally the most diverse country on Earth.
Dear o dear. You've travelled till Alleppey but missed the cities in Tamilnadu. Thats the place where most domestic and international tourists check in. Next time around please do visit places like Chennai, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Trichy, Thanjavur, Pondicherry etc. You will love it for sure. Also neighbouring Bangalore, Mysore and Hyderabad. This is the developed side of urban india compared to whatever you've seen in the north
Great vlog. I would suggest going for a walk through the village when the boat is docked. The good thing about Kerala is that you can easily interact with villagers and listen to their suggestions. Kerala is known for its village and responsible tourism, which made it listed in NY Times the greatest place to travel.
