TAKING A PONY TO HER FIRST HORSE SHOW 

Friendly reminder to those of you that want to come along and say that I am way too big for the pony - while I by no means fit on the pony, I am not hurting that pony at all. If I was, she would definitely let me know. I (including the saddle) are not 20% more than that pony’s weight. Furthermore, ponies don’t train themselves. Even the small ponies. They don’t get trained by lesson kids either. Given this pony’s history, there was zero chance I was letting a lesson kid be the first one to show her! My interest is creating a happy and confident pony that can handle stressful situations like horse shows and eventually be able to take care of kiddos at shows. If I want her to be that, then she needs to first be given some confidence by a trainer.

Wow, Tilly has come such a long way! Her jumping has improved so much. Look at her go, so happy for you both. She looks so much happier. You did a wonderful job with her. ☺️
