We took a 4-hour train ride from Quebec City to Montreal. Why? Well, mostly to try out the closest to the original Montreal-style bagels that we could. We found a bit more to enjoy though...

Nice couple, nice channel, but I can't believe you missed tasting Montreal's smoked meat, from Swhartz, Ben's, Dunn's etc... Poutine was invented in Québec, the Montreal kind of bagel is very well known, quite different from New-York, but the "Montreal smoked meat" is from another planet! :)

I am proud of you guys for finding the old school Montreal bagel shops. I always try to get my bagel warm from the oven but we don’t always have that luxury. I recommend heating them up uncut in a toaster oven if possible so it’s crisp on the outside and still soft in the middle

Montréal is a great city. Great memories there. Like a lot of Canada, summer is when festivals happen, and Montréal has some great ones!

Oh, Montreal - the memories! Montreal smoked meat, a religious tour I once did, the croissants, and, and, and, ..... An amazing walkable city.

I wish you’d had your bagels warm, right out of the oven. They are so yummy that way. Enjoying your videos.

You were wise to take the train. Traffic in Montreal is extremely challenging. No smoked meat? Pity. Most Montrealers prefer the plain sesame or poppy seed bagels, warm out of the oven, I think. It is a terrific city, my home -- a US expat.

I'm in Ontario and it's been a few years since I've been to Quebec. Your video makes me want to go back. You should visit Quebec City as well.

I can't tell what's more addicting: Montreal bagels or this channel. Can't wait for the next episode!

As a Canadian with experience living across our country I must say you have really done your homework or you have great advisers. I am having a great time watching this Canadian series. My parents were Irish immigrants and I have worked in Ireland so you are batting 100.

Again, love your vids. I took the train from Toronto to Montreal and enjoyed it a lot more than the 4-5 hours it would have taken me to drive it. I don't know what it is but almost every time I watch your videos , I get hungry. Keep up the great work you are better than 500 some odd subs.

St Viateur is #1! I live in Western Canada and we have a gourmet shop that gets weekly shipments from St Viateur. Sesame is my favourite !
