My cube has never been able to connect to any of my iPhones. I assume the cable they gave me fit into an android. It does hook to my computer but my phone has all the pix I want. Do you know if cable makers would produce a cable with apple lightning at one end and a plug to fit the smart cube beam female at the other?
Yes, that is the powering down icon on the projector, Since it's the last image to be displayed some of it still remains on the DMD after powering down completely. DMDs are strange little devices, in person when the chip is running it almost looks like holographic liquid making the image, sadly it's quite hard to capture the exact look with only one viewing angle, with 2 eyes it has quite a unique shimmer.
The glitch in that software is called "debounce" It's a simple fix for the programmer. The processor is simply reading the inputs too fast and registers a lingering finger twice. Remotes like this are simple PWM playbacks. You could easily get a a cheap learning remote or make one by reading the PWM from the output on the IR LED with a scope and programming a PIC.
Not in this case, I took a look at the wave form using a photocell to capture it. The sequence is first an identifier string that is sent out, then there is the function string which in this case is doubled. The code they wrote for the RIF is itself broken as the IR burst pattern itself contains 2 strings of command after the identifier. Each string of commands needs to be trimmed to remove the duplication of the command. Identifier -> Command -> Command One of the commands needs to go.
My plan is to send the other one to my friend who write programs and hopefully install the chip, 5 way joystick button, and 2 more for volume in the device itself so a remote is not needed at all. I may try a learning remote eventually and manually cap the IR burst, but I would in the end much rather not have to use a remote at all.
I need help please, I have smart beam projection, presently stuck with 2 issues, one the the screen only shows 2/3 and bottom half does not as same as aspect ratio, it happened after it fell down, second it only plays the signal from dish tv connection but nothing from laptop or phones any suggestions and help will be of greta help to me
This projector only works with a limited amount of phones, though I have not had issue with using HDMI on a computer. I am betting your issue may be a bad connection to the DLP chip. You can probably fix the issue by reseating the connection.
