Essentially it's a French press with 10x the price. But they solved some of the French press issues. But I'm not sure that French press is worth it from the get go...
Happy to pay for the beautiful precision gear you all put out. I am definitely looking at this brewer for backcountry applications and bikepacking. To that end, I know a titanium or thermoplastic container body would change thermoregulation but will be necessary to be truly portable for my purposes. Is it possible to snag the inner dimensions of the brewing vessel down to 0.1mm tollerances so I can machine a titanium brewer?
Will there be any kind of Shop pay/ pay in 4 type option at checkout for the BIRD ? or is that not something Weber offers on their site? I would love to buy this but I don't know if I could afford 350 all at once.
I think the coffee powder will remain at the entrance (the protruding part) of the beaker. In the video, that part is omitted, so the exact information is not known. I think the hassle of cleaning the coffee powder before pouring the coffee into the coffee cup will definitely occur, but has this been solved if you actually use it? If this problem is not solved, it seems that you will just leave it at home as an expensive and pretty decorative item as an art.
incorrect. there will be no coffee grinds found in the chamber above the pod after removal. no cleaning is required before pouring and sipping your brew
Could we get a hint or heads up by any chance when in January the BIRD will be available? I'd just like to make sure I have an alarm set due to timezones :)
but why are almost all of the "sound effects" your editor used only in the left channel? very odd experience watching this with headphones...charging 500 bucks for a brewer but cant hire a decent video editor
