Are you sure it was from the flymask? The mask itself shouldn't touch their eyes unless they go and rub it on something. Usually these kinds of things happen from rubbing directly on another horse but perhaps your horse rubbed on another while it was on? or it got dirty from something? I've never heard of this before and had to search it out a bit. Thanks for letting me know that can happen, I'll definitely keep an eye out for that kind of thing (no pun intended)
The person who can come up with a safe way to fully get rid of flies and mosquitoes will be a very rich soul. I hate both of those insects!! The masks are comical looking but if it keeps those damn biting things out of their eyes I think they’re a good thing.

I hope they invent something to replace these masques, I'm not confortable with it..... Like a fly replient that's safe for horses a collar or belt....
