I feel all this for you guys!! We just lost our Great Dane litter for this exact reason!!! The first puppy coming out was blocking the birth canal, he was already starting to decompose and he had caused an infection that spread to her other puppies. And it almost got our momma. We had to rush her to the emergency vet at 1am for an emergency C-section. But they also had to spay her bc of the infection. We were devastated. I can’t tell you how much it helps to hear your story, pray for y’all, and know that we aren’t alone and that this wasn’t our fault (bc that’s how you feel when things go so wrong!) We love y’all and these videos ❤

These are the things that remind you of how precious life is! So scary, but so happy Nala is fine! So very sorry for you. It is so hard to hade stillborn puppies. We have been there and it is so very hard to go through. I would be as emotional as you because every puppy is loved. You can tell his much you love all the dogs and puppies. So glad to Nala and puppies that remain are doing well.

It is so refreshing to see someone that cares SO much about their dogs share the tough as well as the good times. Thank you for being authentic. We had a serious health issue with one of our Doodles last Fall, we felt so helpless, scared and alone as we navigated what was ahead. Only through the skill, professional connections and kindness of our Vet we were able to get a time sensitive surgery done in time to save our boy with the right specialist. It was an rapid onset emotional roller coaster… and there were no new born puppies involved! Thankfully he survived, and at 12 1/2 he is bright, playful and happy again. We treasure each day with him. You are an amazing, caring person and breeder. One we would be happy to work with. Keep up the great job!! 🤗💗🐾🐾

Huge huge hugs Erin to you and JP. I know by the time we saw this video, the distressful parts were over. But I also know (as much as I am able to) how incredibly hard it must've been to publicly share the more difficult moments. I am glad you did, though, for so many reasons. For one thing, I think many people have this idea in their heads that breeding dogs is an easy and fast money making a dream job. As someone who works with a breeder, I know from first-hand experience that it is not. So, although I do not have the experiences that you have had, I deeply empathize. And I hope this educates and gets others to seriously think about breeding if they are going to go into it. I am in no way discouraging anyone from breeding dogs (we do need very well-bred dogs), but to do it well takes a lot, and I do mean a lot a lot a lot a lot, of work. It can also be an incredibly lonely and isolating job sometimes. A couple of years ago, we lost three dogs in one litter, and two were stillborns, and one died a week later despite being fed around the clock. In another litter not long after that, mama had to have a C-section, and I wasn't there for it, so I can only imagine how terrified Megh was. It really is an incredible and rewarding job and very worth it in the end. But I don't think there is enough education on just how hard it can also be, physically, psychologically, and emotionally. I am so glad that you guys were able to get her to a vet and that she is a godsend. I'm super thrilled that the puppies are doing well, though I am devastated for you for the ones that did not make it. And to other breeders who are also doing it ethically, who genuinely care about their dogs and the entire process and who have gone through similar experiences, my deepest empathy.

Such a difficult day you had. Thanks for being real. You’re doing a fantastic job! I’ve mentioned you to a couple of my friends and have said I’d love to get a puppy from you when we are ready. (Just put my 15 yr old Goldendoodle down. She was a true love)

Thanks for letting us see what you are going through. I watch another breeder who had a similar situation a few weeks ago and both mom and baby passed due to no vets being open over the holidays. I think a lot of people just think it is plug and play with these animals without realizing that moms and babies can die. Then it is a scramble to feed the babies and make sure everyone is growing. Glad nala was able to get help in time!

I'm so sorry Erin and JP! I recently had a first time mom with a singleton and the puppy wouldn't deliver. Tried to rush her to the ER and she ended up having the puppy in my car and it didn't make it. I cried for a couple of days. It's so hard when our dogs struggle and we lose puppies and things don't go as planned. Glad Nala is doing well!:)

Bless your heart, your human and as I've said before on your videos these dogs and puppies are your babies as well. I would totally expect you to be emotional for this, I know I would have been too. It's scary. So thankful that mamma and the rest of her babies are doing so good. You all have such a heart for this. God has blessed you all so much to be able to do this and raise such great puppies/dogs. Your the kind of breeders that we need to be looking for when choosing a fur family member. So many hard things that most people don’t hear about because we don’t share them so they only see the cute puppies and think “dream job” which it is a wonderful job but we definitely see hard things that only other breeders truly understand.
