He shoulda had some silicon with him we go under the shingle and silicon when it’s warm and the shingle won’t rip when it cold we go over it and silicon the hole never had a complaint about a leak
@@roofykillz An electrician practically has an extension ladder as a 3rd appendage. Being a Journeyman SMW myself, worked with the guy many of times, he was almost retirement age. Slipped and fell backwards killing himself putting up Christmas lights on his own house. Accidents are completely preventable, and it only takes a split second to change your life completely or the family's life you left behind. There is no excuse, I have two Sala harnesses myself, 6 foot lanyard, and a 15 ft retractable. It's not as if this gear is unavailable.
@@chrisauerswald4451 I once told a guy in 1980's I would not risk my life for less that 15.00 per hour. Wat an idiot I was 3 stories up walking top plate with 18\ 2x10's
Tragically Chris lol I hear old guys say this Shit all the time. I just don't buy it. I use these on most jobs and there is no way u set up 24ft poles with the 12ft extension safely buy your self and screw them in
I said nothing about safely lol. I built a box for the bottom of the pole so it doesn't slide out while I'm standing it. I've also used a 3:1 rope system to stand 48 footers
Crazy what a few inches in vantage point does to your brain, LOL. I'm up all the time too but, damn, did that give me vertigo, HaHa... Cool Vid Dude ! Have a Safe One Up There :)
Siding contractor did the same to my house. Not happy. Calling roofers left and right and getting estimates on a fix. $600-999 to fix these holes now. I’m going to back charge the contractor on this. I don’t trust holes in my roof and don’t trust silicone and tar
Any scientific test to measure your shoe static and rolling friction coefficient on each roof pitch, shingle style, and degradation (loose rocks that encourage slide). Otherwise, a huge Darwinian award is due. . Mind you I walk roofs all the time for last 35 years, but since no metric for slide v. stumble, I rarely do without some safety precautions.
@@zerocelsius6408 it will be when an employee of yours is seriously injured or killed on your job. You’ll lose your business over night by walking around safety to get the job done quicker. Fucking dunce!
