Glad to see Kaido getting more love, I never topped a big tourney w him but winning the Win a Nami side event at the first Great Pirate Festival w him is easily the most fun I’ve had in OP so far. Who’s Who trigger ftw lol. Need to get some Bon Clays that card seems just too good for the future of purple
I don't recommend discarding Queen for counter especially when you already have another 1k in hand (Uta). Last turn I would have attacked 13k with king, used leader ability then attacked 13k with Kaido. It's risky but that may be the only way you win. Alternatively you could play 10c Kaido but then you lose to any rush.
First game I think u should have 10 Kaido on curve imo bc then u can still beat face while completely getting rid of board. A little less don to work with and gets rid of ur king but forces him to see one more body to use leader effect. Plus u could still king right after in response then into 9 kaido
@@heartpiratestcg nah ofc hindsight is always 20/20. My rule of thumb with Kaido is if I have atleast 3+ life and can 10 Kaido on curve with value I normally will just bc it’s such a strong tempo swing. That game was def close tho, without eb cards I don’t think law could have gotten out of there without cavendish plus restand law for that huge multiple swings.
@@dustpannobroom I see what you’re saying. I guess my philosophy on it was his board wasn’t good enough to warrant the 10 drop. But maybe it could’ve slowed him down
Man I've been using Kaido at my locals for a couple weeks with decent results (2nd,3rd place, etc) but I just began testing that Yamato on the sim and it's such a good card. Can't believe I've never seen it mentioned before!
love these kaidos man. actually was building around your old kaido until this dropped. do you have a decent sub for yamato? dont think ill be able to get my hands on them for a bit
Have you thought about swapping Franky for the 2k counter 5 drop x drake? And Uta for blocker law? I feel like they are better but feel free to share why you choose the cards you chose!
Maybe playing against a meta deck was better instead of law red green which is, unfortunatelly, in this and in the next meta, among the worst decks to play
