It has actually happened. I don’t have the exact link to the video but it was a man who called the manager and called out the employees for fatphobia 😅
The reason the name Karen is a meme, is because it was an extremely popular baby name in America back in the day, so now there's a whole generation of middle aged women named Karen. Of course, a small portion of all those Karen's are going to have public outbursts, and through that a pattern seems to form. Figured I'd explain for those living under a rock.
The owner is a genius… he wouldn’t mind that someone will ask manager that their service sucks… as long as they can maintain their food quality this will be a hit food business… great great…
Imagine that there was a nice man who opened a restaurant and thought it would be funny to name it "Karen's diner" and as he notice that ACTUAL Karen's came, he decided to quit Welp that's his dreams gone.... I mean I wouldnt blame him if this was the true story
There’s a diner in the California mountains called the Grizzly Bear Cafe and they too are experts at insults. I had no idea and when I asked the waitress for my bacon crispy she told me I’d take it the way it’s delivered and damn well like it, I was so shocked I laughed! Then I was told how they insult the patrons on purpose, I had such fun. Plus the food is delightful.
I’m asking to go there for my next birthday and straight when I walk in imma be like, “ give me a pen then imma steal their pens and draw on their face writing ‘ Karen sh!t here”
There's a diner in Baltimore that was like Karen's Diner (not the same name). It was HILARIOUS. My experience: I'm from the Southern US and where I'm from we have sweet tea. As a teenager I didn't know sweet tea DID NOT EXIST above the Mason Dixon line. So the server sarcastically and swiftly destroyed me when I asked for sweet tea. 🤣🍵
