Ethan Nicholas not hating at all but you know he’s been on the phone with the boys at Honda receiving assistance lol But he’s def doing the hands on part no doubt.
Jordan Fisher pretty sure anyone needs a reference source when working on bikes. May it be a owners manual, RU-vid video, or even the boys at Honda. If you can do it with your own hands then it’s your work.
Cool to see how much better you seem to have got at working on your bikes. I can work on them all but can’t hit a jump for SH!T so it’s not a dig on you I think it’s great. Also cool to see more and more 2 stroke stuff that’s what I grew up on and still my favorite. Glad to see you keeping busy and seem to enjoy ridin’ more with the pressure off.
The throttle cable that comes with the lectron cab is terrible, try to avoid it if you can, it sticks out , it grinds and catches in spots, try turning the bars tight it pulls on the throttle even, i had to use my stock cable with it and 100% better.
Rad video dude, loving the drift car style influence with the graphics. Drifting is an interest of mine also, thanks for the idea for the next set of graphics on my bike! Keep up the dope work!
For easier install I have a 03 Cr 125 and have massive problems trying to get the carb out so what i do is take of subframe and unbolt top bolt of the shock and its super easy to install for future problems :)
Looks great i thought the matt finish looked good, but the gloss is definitely better. great job mate 🤙🤙. ps me and my kids huge fan of yours , watching and following from australia 🇦🇺 ☝️🤙🤙
Should of went with electrons big brother which is the smart carb you can do all your adjustments without taking the carb apart but either way sick set up got the same one on my 04 CR keep up the good videos
Nice vid, always like your builds. Carb: You didn't do the obligatory Lectron fuel bowel filling. LOL Coffee: check out Peter McKinnon...great photographer and super passionate about coffee too.
Hey Cole, good stuff I like it. I recently installed an H-Series on my KTM 300, polished the exhaust port like a mirror, removed some of the casting flaws on the intake side, shaved the head .020, slapped a new pipe on, and Wow what a difference. Have fun with that gorgeous bike. ✊🍻
80s MX PRO: They didn’t make the 300 XCW is the 80’s sir. The 300 XCW with a milled head, mild porting, Lectron Carb, V-Force reeds, 300 SX CDI box, and a good pipe is a torque monster. FYI... Most professional people I’ve met in the moto industry are really nice and like to help others. “80’s MX Pro” You seem like the opposite. But either way, bless your heart.
@@slagletoby You apparently know nothing about motors. If your engine builder is any good they know if you mill the head you have to re-chamber it because you've changed it by milling it. You apparently don't know that. I mean lot's of crappy builders do just mill the head but that's not the way to go. Also Lectron carbs suck and are good for people who don't know shit about jetting. Also cupcake it doesn't matter what year the bike is. Bless your heart.
@@slagletoby No I just know what I'm talking about unlike you the local "Pit Racer". As far as Cole goes I love the kid who by the way used to race with my son when they were 6 -10 years old. So blow me you know nothing wannabe.
I'm curious to hear your opinions on that carb. I tried one on my YZ and didn't like it. It ran well, but it flattened the power a bunch, especially on the bottom end. It was OK in the woods, but on the track it sucked.
MX304 your idle adjustment is everything. Do it when the bike is fully warmed up and don’t have it running too high otherwise the powerband will feel flat. Your bike should idle similar to coles
congratulations, I wanted to know what year the motorbike is? nor do I have the same Honda CR 250 my 2007, could the lectron carburettor fit for my my 2007 model ???
Lectron is cool i run xtng its same desgin as lectron hv almost its just cnc machined instead of cast iron been told it pulls harder then lectron almost believe it hahah
I'm so glad you want to change the look of the bike. Honda or whoever the guy was that designed the graphics on it now needs to be shot. I thought when you were building it that it looked sick and then you changed it to this. Looks a lot better now
I love my lectron. It's great. But it doesnt come close to the STIC metering block you can put in your PWK. Feels like a supercharger no joke. Plus it compensates for temp and elevation like the lectron. You should check it out man. Sticsupertorque.com
you shouldnt have gotten a lectron. they are trash and a waste of $$. just learn how to jet your stock carb. keihin carbs are really good and a well tuned carb gives you more power than a lectron. such a waste of 500$
@@80smxpro41 yep and if you go back to the golden era of 2 stroke racing, not a single rider outdoors or indoors ran a lectron even though they've been around 44 years. what does that tell you about them having your suspension set up right will make you faster anyways. most people dont know that thought
@@dr00andrew I think they're popular today because getting someone who knows how to jet a 2 stroke is getting harder. For the love of God Pro Circuit and FMF are local to him and they still know about jetting. I remember I had the 1st 1981 Yamaha YZ125 in So Cal. I got it Friday morning, put it together and raced it Friday night. People were running around the track watching me trying to see it better. The next morning I raced Saturday Saddleback and my mechanic cleaned it Friday night and jetted it for Saturday. I would have sworn he ported it. The right jetting makes night and day difference. I was bummed Sunday because I was not the only water cooled Yamaha on the line at Indian Dunes.
@@80smxpro41 i agree 100%. people like instant gratification and jetting requires you to actually ride and test out certain settings. i mean once your float height is set, you really only have to change 3 things max. your pilot jet and air screw (which can pretty much be tuned in at an idle.) your clip position and main jet, but those require you to ride around the bike in those specific throttle ranges and determine if you are too rich or lean. so i let my cousin borrow my yz 125 the a few weeks ago cause his 250 smoker was getting worked on. He loved the way my bike performed so much he immediately bought a jd jet kit for his so he could make it like mine. he let someone else ride it as well and a week later he bought a yz 125 for himself
