Range anxiety is real lol. Figuring out where to charge is homework in and of itself.

Why not using LV2 or 3 regen or even Ipedal to help your range ?

I’ve noticed level 2-3 regen works best in stop and go traffic and rush hour in suburbs and cities. There you can stretch your max range to like 300+ miles on a full charge. After that video, I started driving on the highways using the auto feature actually! You hold the right regen brake and turns from L1-3 to auto. I turn the auto to the lowest setting and it’s been helping get 260 miles range on the highway now!

Do you have at home charging? That would solve many of the problems. For a trip of this range, you can simply do a quick charging stop on the way back home since you charged up at home before you left. You might even be able to do this trip without charging away from home.

There's no range anxiety in a Tesla. Superchargers in just about everywhere, and the vast majority pump if them electricity out at 250 kWh.

after watching your video and others on RU-vid regarding the challenges of charging during road trips, I've decided to hold off on purchasing an electric vehicle for now. As you mentioned, adding an extra two hours to a three-plus hour trip or three additional hours for a six-plus hour journey is a significant trade-off. For me, the time lost is just not worth it, especially considering the potential difficulties of traveling with small children. Furthermore, the constant need to monitor the battery level, scout for charging stations, and potentially divert from the main route to find a charger would take away from the enjoyment of any vacation.

@@RStarLeeKong agreed! We learned to adjust the auto regen breaking so now it only adds 20+ minutes to our 3.5 hour road trips. So basically during the time we stop midway for bathroom and lunch the car is fast charging. Then by the time we’re done with lunch and bathroom the car is charged and we’re good to go to finish the road trip. It’s not that bad. Just took some getting used to!

48 cents a bargain compared to to 65 to 78 cents here in Australia.

Hmm! Is that accounting for Aussie dollars or USD?

At the current exchange rate it’s even worse.
