thank you for showing all sides of going on solo dates, helena, I really appreciate your vulnerability in that moment bc as a socially anxious person I know how terrifying and gut-wrenching it feels to make that step and immerse yourself in a setting so far out of your comfort zone. your videos have helped me feel more easygoing when I'm out and about spending the day by myself. but it is still very challenging for me to socialise on my own, without a friend as my safety net or someone to walk in together with. I remember I walked all the way to campus once for a welcome fair but bc I was on my own and would have had to eventually talk to strangers, I went back home. and I felt so defeated bc I was excited to go but I lacked the courage to stay. so I'm going to keep trying bc it's okay if it takes me a while to feel confident enough. you have shown me that it is possible, that I will be okay in the end. so thank you for empowering me to keep growing and changing, your support truly means a lot 🩵
I always thought that I'm the only one that gets social anxiety so badly that I could litteraly cry just thinking about crouded places such as coffeterias or else. Always keep in mind that people NOT thinking about you, but themselves, it helpes a lot. Thank you, Helena. You bring me such amount of joy, happiness and confidence that I can't even.
