My lashes are so bad after just a year of wearing extensions. How did your lashes still look so thick and healthy? Mine are so sad 😭 it’s gonna take months to get them back to normal

I'm probably in the minority but I've never been a fan of lash extensions. They look so unnatural and tend to look cartoonish to me (on me). I think your natural lashes will get healthier with time if you let them. I did like the magnetic lashes and would probably use them for special occasions. Yes! I didn't mind them on LeighAnn, but there's another RU-vidr who just goes overboard. I had to stop watching her videos because there was one time when she looked down and all I could see was Snuffalupagus. From Sesame Street. Her lashes are so long on the outer edges that it's literally pulling down her eyes and makes her look sad. 😂 After that I couldn't look at her without thinking "Snuffie". It's just too distracting.

@@momlovesnoel I do them myself and make them look more natural and blend them in with my own dark lashes, just for an enhancement. Some of the ones I've seen on RU-vid and Insta are over the top though and look overdone which isn't flattering

Totally agree! I can maybe see them for a special occasion, but I can't imagine doing it long term. I'm an esthetician and I've seen some crazy lashes! I just feel they make the eyes look heavy and kind of age people.

Your lashes don't look as bad as you think they do. You are just used to having what looks like permanent strip lashes all the time. You're pretty lucky I've seen so many people with lash extensions and when they removed them they basically lost all their lashes.

If they are done correctly, they do not harm your natural lashes. My extensions are dribbling down (I got about 6 hanging in there) and my natural lashes look great (just not voluminous haha)

I felt you on a "my house doesn't deserve this". I'm a lash tech and now walking around the house like a puffer fish. We can't do our own extensions. I'm definitely going to try the magnetic strips

IMHO - Your eyes look soooooo much bigger without the lashes! They were dragging down the outer corners and closing your eyes off. I know this was hard for you, but I do hope that you will feel more comfortable without the lash extensions.

Your eyes just opened up when you took the lashes off! You instantly looked brighter and more awake. You have such a pretty eye shape! Eyeshadiws will show up better now too. Maybe try lash serum for fullness? I think extra length just closes up the eye.

this happened when i got my lash extension removed! They were all going different directions! I think its because of the extensions, not the remover!

you should try getting your eyelashes lifted or "permed". it lasts longer than extensions, its cheaper, and the results look so natural!!

Something about putting liquid metal in my lash line is unsettling. I’m sticking with lash growth serum which works amazing. I am glad that magnetic eyeliner is an option.

katy davis I use Rapidlash. I’ve been 100% consistent with serum for almost 2 years. There was two months out of those two years I switched to Grande Lash and it maintained the length but as soon as I went back to Rapidlash my lashes got an incredible boost of length so that when I new Rapidlash works better for me. I haven’t tried other serums because I don’t want to spend $100 plus on that. And I also do buy it on sale when I see it. Ulta & CVS using points and coupons. 💁🏻‍♀️

Thank you! The struggle is real. I just broke down and ordered some magnetic lashes because I've been getting mine done for over 6 years. Lash addict as well :) i'm not brave enough to take mine off, just letting them go naturally but I think I will try the magnetic ones before they are all gone. Did she have them removed professionally? I’m a Licensed Esthetician in California / Lash Artist, and when you have eyelash extensions removed professionally you shouldn’t have your own natural lashes come off as well. Also your friend wouldn’t have Eyelash Extensions to begin with if “when removed had no lashes”, because the extensions need to be applied to a Natural Lash in the first place. So that leads me to believe she had them removed improperly? (Poor thing!) maybe now she should purchase a Lash serum to help her lashes grow back. There’s a misconception that Eyelash Extensions ruin your natural lashes. If they are applied CORRECTLY (by your Lash Artist) & properly taken care of (clients work) no they won’t ruin your natural lashes :)

breeanamendez I really don't know all the details, but I know it was something they added to the nail shop she goes to. She lives in Cali, I live in Oregon. I asked her a ton of questions. She was so tearful so I just listened. I agree with you if someone is a professional it probably would not happen. I know I felt horrible for her. She is using latteese ? Last time I spoke with her she said they are growing back but in all directions 😖. I think Leighann did a great job. Right?

Ok honestly, LOVE the natural eyelashes!!!! It makes your eye shape pop! Getting rid of my lashes was also the best decision ever 😍 I HIGHLY recommend tubing mascara especially for lash health. When you wash it off it's a lot more gentle

I started getting eyelash extensions because of your video when you got them. Then it turned out that the two prescription eye drops I have to use dissolve the glue. I couldn't afford to replace the lashes as quickly as they would fall off. I did get these magnetic ones with the liner months ago. I love it. I don't wear them around the house but I did for my driver license photo and whenever I have to be on camera for a class or meeting. They are a great thing!

Omg I wish I knew about that remover, a few month ago I tried the coconut oil and olive oil route. All I can say is I ended up looking like a bald eagle. But no worries it will grow back and they will be just as strong as they were before you got the extensions. 💜

😅 when my sister and I tried it I gave up after about an hour but she kept picking at them until almost all of them came off. it took forever and isn't at all as easy people make it seem like it is online. we will regrow!

Have you tried a lash growth serum? They work better than you'd expect! My eyelashes are crazy long after about 3mos of consistent use. They nearly touch my eyebrows and they were decidedly unimpressive before.

As a lash tech, I was white knuckling watching this video lol remover can be so dangerous if not used properly...but I'm glad all turned out okay! Your natural lashes still look extremely healthy, and in about a week or two you'll notice them start to straighten out and not be so wild (this also happened to myself when I got rid of my lashes). I MAAAAY have to try magnetic lashes...game changer.

I’ve never had eyelash extensions before. Recently, a coworker told me about L’Oréal Voluminous primer and mascara and it was a game changer for my lashes. I use liner, then heat up my eyelash curler with my blow dryer (not too hot) and use the primer as directed, followed by mascara. I love it and get compliments all the time.

My mom had her lash extensions for about a year and she decided she wasn’t gonna go to her most recent appointment cuz of covid-19 since she works in a grocery store she didn’t want to risk exposing her lash lady to it cuz she’s pregnant and she was DEVASTATED when she took her lashes off 😂 and then she was offended no one noticed lmao really you just get used to seeing yourself a certain way so to make a change is weird but you’ll be able to get them again one day!

I feel you.. I had lashes for 10 years.. not a day without them. I now use a lash serum (KU2) to grow them nice and long and tbh I do think my natural lashes with a good mascara (Loreal Bambi eyes) look nicer than the extensions. It is a youthful bright look :)
